Parker/ The Nikki Heat/Derrick Storm books by Richard Castle. Personality: Sam is a laid back guy who loves reading. He usually keeps to himself, but is such a regular at the library that if someone comes up to him he’ll talk with them. However if he is working on a case and he is doing research he is focused and keeps his sentences very short. Sam enjoys being in the library for the quiet and seeing people actually using it as a resource for learning. Brief Bio: Sam Hawkins is a former police officer who learned early on that the key to catching a crook was out thinking them. Sam began to use the library to read up and study criminals, and it was no surprise that he began to make more and more arrests. Soon Sam became a detective and began to use the library even more, but Sam found himself hamstrung by paper work and procedures by the very same laws he swore to uphold. Sam grew frustrated with seeing the guilty walk free and turned in his badge. Sam used the inheritance he got from an uncle’s passing and opened up his own detective agency. The agency is doing very well because Sam gets results. Those results once again are from spending hours and hours in the library doing research. Sam is there so often he usually takes over a study room when he is on a case and just paces in there for hours and hours. Though he is a dedicated detective he hates mysteries. Sam feels that there should be an answer for everything and refuses to leave things in a gray area. Other: Sam is a practicing Roman Catholic who loves working out, the music of Bruce Springsteen, a drink every now and then, and of course reading. I love books
