She knew him as the Hufflepuff who was super intense, mainly about studying and his prefect duties. Noah was probably the only one who has managed to catch her in the act more than once. At one point, she was worried he had cast a warning spell on her that alerted him every time she was up to no good. Although most of their interactions involved Naia actively trying to escape him, she remembers one night where she willingly came to him. It was two weeks after she had transfigured her hair into a literal night light, and while it had been hilarious and awesome at first, the novelty waned and gave way to frustration. Fed up with the never-ending light show, her dormmates had kicked her out until she could turn it off. Noah proved to be a saint throughout the ordeal. He fixed her up and all he asked in return was for her to stop bothering him. What a deal! They haven't interacted much since, but Naia was happy she was able to brighten up his night at least once. All she knows now is he's off being super intense somewhere out there. [sup]
Bex
[/sup]
[sub]↳ Spidey ♥[/sub]

Always one to go against the grain, Naia never jumped on the 'Bex the Hex' wagon that the other students so quickly filled. Naia didn't believe that she was bad luck and instead liked to think that Bex was blessed with a disaster detector. Naia tried explaining to Bex once that maybe what she had was like her version of a "spidey sense," but she wasn't too sure if she got the reference. Whatever it was though, instead of being wary of her like the other more superstitious students, Naia admired this particular skill of hers. Sometimes, when things were dull around the castle, she would approach Bex and ask if she could sense anything fun about to happen. Although they often kept to their different groups of friends, Naia always thought she connected with Bex in a deeper level than most. They were seemingly opposites in everything, but somehow, they were kindred spirits through and through. When she got lonely thinking about her mum and was unable to keep herself from becoming sadface Naia, she turned to Bex, who she knew understood the lonliness. After graduating, Naia and Bex occassionally met up after her shows--for a while, it was the only part of school that remained with her. They weren't able to hang out as much when she became a Curse-Breaker, although she tried to keep in touch as much as possible. [sup]
Thomas
[/sup]
[sub]↳ Tommy, Alfie, Brad, Jon. All the names![/sub]

Thomas is everything Naia isn't: quiet, studious, restrained. And yet, despite essentially being polar opposites—or perhaps because of it—they were close friends. Naia liked to think they were the doughnut holes of each other's doughnut, helping fill in what the other lacked. They've known each other since second year, although she can't remember how she charmed him (though perhaps strong-armed was more accurate) into tutoring her. Back then, Naia was pretty sure she was blacklisted as "unteachable" by her previous scarred tutors. But whatever made him cave, thank Merlin he did, because if it weren't for Alfie and his massive Ravenclaw brain, Naia is certain she would never have passed her O.W.L.s, much less her N.E.W.T.s. Throughout their whole time at Howgwarts, Naia remembers a lot of time goading Brad into stepping out of his (literal and figurative) comfort zone. Every nighttime jaunt through secret passages and every weekend excursion in the forest, Naia made sure to invite Jon along. [sup]
Devin
[/sup]
[sub]↳ Dev[/sub]

Before properly meeting him, Naia knew of Devin only through a friend of a friend of a friend. They finally got a chance to talk during the second year, when she tried recruiting him for a nighttime jaunt down some secret passages. After getting to know him, she had come to associate him owls—not only because of those sketches he made—but because of the wide-eyed way he seemed to view the world. She liked that they both still saw wonders when a lot of her other classmates could be quite cynical. His infamous unicorn obsession phase during the third year was one great example of why she thought they were kindred spirits. As soon as she caught word of Devin's persistent attempts to see one again, Naia felt absolutely compelled to help. She caught him after class one day and all but demanded him to take her with him. Worried that there would be others to complicate the very delicate mission, she had made sure to lean in close and whisper in his ear conspiratorially: "just you and me, 'kay?" Naia didn't realize that what she said and how she said it could've been misinterpreted, and was too oblivious to recognize the warning signs. The night of the mission, Devin had been antsy and odd, but Naia had chalked it up to excitement. It wasn't until they were sitting side-by-side on a meadow, moonlit and serenaded by the nighttime sounds of nature—which in hindsight, was quite a romantic atmosphere—that she started to realize what was happening. Devin had leaned in for a kiss, and if she hadn't been thirteen and still grossed out by boys and romance, she might have liked it. Instead, her quick reflexes took hold and she quickly ducked out of the way. Naia had always recalled the event fondly, although she did regret the following weeks where Devin outright avoided her. She never thought it was something to be embarrassed about. When he was finally able to let it go, she was over the moon. Of course, she never missed a chance to tease him about it afterwards, but always in good-natured fun. [sup]
Elliot
[/sup]
[sub]↳ El, Nerd ♥[/sub]

There is no one in the world that Naia trusts and adores more than Elliot. The two have known each other before Hogwarts, back when she was still honing the art of charm by seeing just how many people would buy her ice cream. He introduced her to the magical world, her mum's world, and made her feel less alone. El and his family's ice cream parlor was something of a sanctuary for Naia growing up, saving her from the increasing isolation and loneliness that awaited her at home. It was good for her mamá as well, as she found a confidant in El's dad—someone to commiserate with about the wizarding world. In Hogwarts, getting sorted in different houses hadn't caused them to drift apart, only made it harder to plan their next escapade. They were partners-in-crime and have probably shared every detention together. El's fellow Ravenclaw often blame Naia for being a bad influence on him, but she would argue that he was the bad influence instead: "do you know how many random facts I know about really old wizards? Waaay too much." Even after graduating, they managed to keep in touch. A lot of her curse-breaking cases had coincided with El's research, making it feel like they basically just traveled the world together. Their first solo assignment was one near and dear to her heart. It was the first time they were left to their own devices, without their respective mentors there as lifelines in case they screwed up. Oh, the mistakes they made! There were sooo many explosions that day. But to Naia, the thrill of it was the best feeling in the world. Once again, it was her and El against the world and she wouldn't have it any other way. [sup]
Dragana
[/sup]
[sub]↳ Ana[/sub]

Although they weren't too close throughout their time at Hogwarts, Naia has always thought Dragana was another kindred spirit. She liked that they shared a similar sense of fun and affinity for rule-breaking, even if she didn't always agree with her using secrets to barter. When Naia heard she was getting bullied, she offered to help fight them off—she had done it before for others, and while it often landed her in the hospital wing, she liked to think she had a knack for scaring bullies away. In the end, Dragana didn't need anyone's help after all, single-handedly getting each one of her bullies to detention. After graduating, they mostly bumped into each other at Weasley's Wizard Wheezes, which Naia frequented a lot before she started traveling. They would talk about her latest products, with Naia often leaving glowing reviews.
