[*][u]Personality[/u]: In-game, Akarin is a boundlessly cheerful and exuberant girl, able to find joy in even the simplest of actions within Elysium. She enjoys exploration, she loves interaction, she can even take great pleasure in battling the variety of monsters within the world. With her around, it's difficult to ever feel down or discouraged... up until you realise she isn't actually helpful in any meaningful way, but still.

Generally pleasant and uplifting to other players, Akarin can be seen as rather selfless and kind, despite her faults. While it's true she isn't looking to grief anyone in the game, she isn't above buttering up stronger players in order to obtain their help in acquiring bothersome drops or completing more tedious quests for her. Expect your reward to be the privilege of touching her tail for five seconds.

Akarin, or Yamada Hikari in real life, is a somewhat bratty rich kid that's used to getting whatever she wants. Although she doesn't go out of her way to mock others, she seems inherently haughty by nature, believing herself to be [i]that[/i] much more important than the average person. To some extent, this spreads to her in-game personality too, where too much frustration can lead to rather OOC outbursts. Generally, she does her best to keep real life and Elysium separate. It'd be weird if her friends and admirers knew she was into roleplaying in VR games, after all.
[*][u]History[/u]: Hikari, growing up, had become very much used to buying anything she ever wanted on a whim, and always quickly grew bored of any toys or products she obtained in favour of the next cool or cute thing. At school, she did decently enough to move on, surrounding herself with a series of shallow friendships, more predicated on her ability to buy their attention than anything. Hikari didn't think of that is an issue in itself, but over the years, found herself less and less willing to share her interests with others. Despite her company and status as a 'popular' girl, she's become a bit of a loner.
Having never really bothered too much with the several consoles she'd bought over the years, getting a VR system was just another purchase made on a whim for the sake of impressing her following, and picked up Elysium without really thinking about it. When she gave the game a try, however, Hikari found she just didn't want to stop playing.
Since release, 'Akarin' has built herself up as a separate entity from Hikari, having tons of fun messing around in the game, having no real clue how to effectively fight, but who cared? Auto systems aside, there was so much to do and experience...
[*][u]Skills[/u]:
	[i]Latch[/i] - Long range, is used to pull an opponent into at least mid-range. Pitiful damage.
	[i]Blade Circlet[/i] - Mid range, Akarin spins in place, letting her chains extend and cut opponents. Extra damage if the spearheads connect.
	[i]Deadly Gouge[/i] - Mid range, Akarin dodges to the side, then lunges a spearhead to the enemy. Can [i]Embed[/i] into an enemy.
	[i]Spiral Cut[/i] - Short range, Akarin leaps into the air to evade an attack, then strike back with a twirl and a stab.
[*][u]Equipment[/u]:
	Piercing Chains - a DEX-based weapon that requires some skill to wield manually. A long chain with two spearheads, it is made for mid-range combat, enabling some evasion-based attacks for extra skill. 'Embed' is a trait that can treat most monsters as a latching point.
	[i]"Academic Slayer" Costume Pack[/i] - A costume loosely based on a school uniform. Only gives a single point to each stat, but Akarin was more taken with how much cuter it made her look.
[*][u]Other[/u]: In the right environment, she can use her weapons to traverse the area! So it's not too great in open meadows or the like, but lots of fun in forests or spacious hallways.
