Yes, the number would probably be somewhere between that and 1,000, in broad terms. They came out of the vault*BUNKER... with something like 80. Considering like 4 children for 40 women in the first generation (some with less some with more), that's an increase of 160, total of 240. Second generation, 480 children born, but they'll be replacing the large number of casualties from the civil war/revolt thing they did. Add in natural deaths to predators, disease, exposure, and people leaving for whatever reason, and 4-500 is reasonable. For the sake of balance 4 is fine.
