Esme Stirling
Esme had somehow found herself in Illinois after taking on a Shapeshifter the day before and ghosts the day before that and early this morning. Now exhausted and sleep deprived, all she wanted to do was find a place off the highway she could pull over and have a small nap. Sleep deprivation had somehow blocked her from seeing exactly where she was in Illinois, but what she knew was that this road seemed to go on forever with little in sight. After what seemed like hours of fighting sleep and slapping her face to stay away, something had finally popped up in the distance. “Finally.” she groaned. She looked down at her gas gage briefly. She still had a quarter of a tank of gas, so she didn’t really have to worry too much about that if this place ended up not being a gas station. As she got closer, she slowed down to get a good look at the building. “Geeze, is this place even going?” she questioned, looking at the small building with blown out windows. With a bit of reluctance, she drove on ahead, not really trusting the place. A little way up the road, she found a place to stop that looked a bit more promising, even if it was still on the side of the road but could still get a suitable distance between the road and her car. Parking as far as she could from the road's edge, she cracked a couple of windows and locked the doors, then made herself comfortable in the front seat for a catnap.
