SCARLET SHADOW 红色阴影
Looking beautiful? You can't even see me you old coot. Scarlet Shadow mused to herself regarding her veil. Though odds were he was just being overpolite. She nodded at Shen's backroom query though of course he had already turned away with the tray of tea in hand. They had done this routine so many times it was clockwork to both and any question and exchange was mere traditional courtesy between the pair. The thief followed him to the back of the store, taking up his invitation to look over the newest selection. Shen's 'collection' was quite impressive and Scarlet Shadow found her kleptomania raging inside as the sparkling gold coins and flawless gemstones practically beckoned to her to grab them up. While she had handled item's in Shen's store in the past she decided not to in this particular instance. Her eyes feasted on the small fortune that her fence had stored away, her trance broken by Shen's invitation for her to sit with him. Tossing a quick glance at the diadem she slipped back her hood and pulled down her mask as she sat with Shen, her ebony neck length hair tumbling down and bunching up atop her collar. Kara clasped the teacup in her right hand and lifted it, taking a heavy sip of tea. Her brown eyes looking over the rim of the cup at Shen as he spoke. "Have you tried the crown on yet?" Shen jested, to which she thought Very funny. She said nothing, only a slight smirk catching her mouth causing a dimple to appear against her right lip corner as she lowered her cup. On hearing of the current offer Kara stopped in the midst of lifting her cup for another drink. Sitting the cup down a little too hard she abrasively said, "Five hundred K', are you kidding me Shen? You shouldn't even have to put that forward for consideration. Between the value of that prize and the amount of trouble I had to go through anything that doesn't have 'million' at the end of it is a waste of time. Keep looking." She took another long sip of tea emptying her cup, hoping her words weren't too harsh. After all it wasn't Shen's fault. He had always been good for landing a good take on stolen goods. But Kara was above pandering simple apologies so she simply sat her cup down and beckoned for more tea while reaching for a rice ball and asking, "Can't you find someone on the black market with some daring? What about other countries? I understand the heat and all but I really don't want to have to wait half a decade for payout on this and I doubt you do either." Kara swallowed the rice ball she had near whole and eagerly reached for another as Shen filled her cup with more tea. "By the way," Kara asked, "since we're on the subject of payouts, any news regarding previous goods I've funneled your way recently? Like the loot from that last jewelry store heist or that jade dragon statue I pilfered from that Chinatown bigshot?"
