Name: O'Menus
Gender: Male
Personality: Prideful and prone to express his distaste through physical domination, O'Menus was eventually worshipped not out of love but fear. Though he could care less to why the mortals worshipped him, long as they kneeled to his superiority at all times. Naturally, O'Menus was also a entity of few words and harsh retaliation. When he lashed out, which was regular, whole landscapes were scarred barren. What ended up surprising many was how simple he was. He viewed the world very black and white, willfully ignorant of the gray in-between it all. After all his power bellowed and very much drowned out the insignificant. Needless to say, he wanted for very little. Anything he desired he took and anything he didn't was worthless.
Domain: Sun, Fire, and Heat
Abilities: O'Menus's main abilities focused on absolute control over heat. He could conjure flames, manipulate outside sources, and at his peak even tweak the temperature of the Sun. Other abilities included shaping his flames into weapons, recovering wounds by absorbing outside sources of heat, and empowering himself through the Sun. A little-known fact was that he started out being weakened by the setting of the Sun. But through some form of evolution, he grew to be able to store and stockpile solar-energy inside himself. For reasons he's never quite understood eclipses weaken him significantly.
Brief Backstory: Among the Gods, O'Menus's beginnings were both late and unnatural. As the God of Heat it was speculated that he had always existed, though not consciously so. Some would later say he slept in the Sun's womb till perfect and that came with its own complexities and conjectures. Not even O'Menus remembers his 'birth'. His first intentional action, after he awakened so to say, was to swim through molten lava to greet the world. When he arrived, the quaking of the land irked him horribly, so he hushed the volcano he stood on and traveled to the nearest gathering of mortals. From there, he was touted as the God who silenced the Earth by desperate, fearful mortals, and hailed rightfully so as their Savior. Under his supervision of terror, his people grew, spreading across the land indefinitely till they reached crashing waves and endless seas. He settled petty mortal wars by erasing both sides and punished those who sought after other Gods, or broke his laws with suffering droughts. Very rarely did he interact with his subjects. And when death visited him, O'Menus settled into his throne, crossed his arms firmly, and closed his eyes in acceptance. For if death could touch him, what else was he if not already dead.
