Hmmm, I always like MAss effect, and a MAss effect RP would be a good comeback after my years away from this site...

As the first example I can think of, the whole galaxy basically shut down for several years, no grand empires, no great alliances, no active galaxy wide force... not to mention the crashed technology everywhere, reapers or otherwise, on all kinds of worlds... what if a new, or several new species, who would've been part of the 'next' cycle, made their leaps to the space-age, or may have already been so for a bit but well hidden, or simply small enough not to matter, fringe world, etc. etc. XD

Basically, is there room for new species to appear on the galactic stage, or even just starting to appear among the populations.
