However, not wanting to disrupt Jason’s day to day, his parents left him with an uncle who also lived in Petalburg until a couple of years ago, when the young man chose to move back in with his parents and make up the lost time he was finishing school. His uncle was a Renaissance Faire worker and, while Jason stayed with him, exposed him to all sorts of things, expanding his already impressive list of interests more, as well as encouraging him to get into martial arts after he got in a series of fights with a well known bully from school. Attending the Fairs with his uncle, the sword fighting tournaments always caught his interest and when he turned fourteen, he got permission from parents and uncle alike to begin taking part, training with the long sword and shield to compete, on top of his karate and judo classes. What time he didn’t spend in school and practicing his katas and sword fighting he spent exploring the surrounding area. Admittedly, part of why he moved to the Evig Region was because he’d heard that a new league would be starting soon and he wanted to be a part of it, especially since he’d missed his chance to join the Hoenn League.
