Berni’s descent from a somewhat artsy geek in middle school to a pretentious tornado in high school was… unexpected. Her parents, going through a messy divorce wonder if their issues are to blame but in Berni’s mind that is an egotistical power creep by people who have no clue. She’s just got tired of presenting perfect so one day in sophomore year she stopped. She still likes her books, art, music; but she’s done with pleasantries in a fake society in a fake city with fake parents squabbling over a fake marriage. She's going to do things her way.

[color=#D8080C][sub][b]B I O G R A P H Y[/b][/sub][/color][hr][color=gray][sub]Berni has tempered her wildly anger problems for years. She likes to put it simply as pretend; while her parents pretended so did she. When the seams fell apart in the middle of her sophomore year she just had enough. Those who knew Berni, didn’t know Berni. They knew [i]Bernadette[/i]. Whether this is Berni lying to herself or some kind of social experiment as a teenager remains to be seen, but what is true is the former prodigal multi-instrumentalist has decided to forge a new path for herself while her parents throw plates at each other and lawyers try to sort out who owns what and who deserves which. She’s an only child and about to be out of high school so she doesn’t have to worry about custody battles, at least.
