[hider=Special Interest Report: Warforged Infantry Unit 735240 (A.K.A. Testudo)]
The priesthood's recent claims of heroes being chosen by the gods to counter the rise of Tenas have been confirmed. Information is still being gathered on most of these chosen heroes, but one is already known to us. The chosen hero in question is a warforged infantry unit currently serving in the Constructed Legions. 735240 is its numerical designation, though it is also known colloquially as 'Testudo' among the humanoid soldiers who have served alongside it. Unit 735240 walked off the assembly line approximately eight years before the signing of the Farriday Treaty. It was assigned to the 9th Company of the 14th Constructed Legion, known unofficially as the 'Hammers of Primus' due to the Legion's preference for bludgeoning weaponry and use of the modron language to conceal orders and intelligence from the enemy.

The 14th Constructed Legion went on to spend the next eight years fighting the elves of Menas in the Pantheonic War. Their most notable efforts in the war were made during the Battle of Belton, the Skirmish on the Golden Cliffs, and the Ambush at Treant Ridge. Knowledge of what roles Unit 735240 played in these engagements is limited, unreliable, and second hand at best. However, several of its actions during and after the end of the war have been well documented. During the peace talks that led to the Farriday Treaty, Unit 735240 thwarted an attempt on the life of a Dharvian diplomat. When the 9th Company of the 14th Constructed Legion was called upon to enforce the Farriday Treaty, Unit 735240 led raids on secret gatherings of Tenas worshipers and other heretical faiths. But the most notable of Unit 735240's actions would have to be its involvement in evacuation efforts during Tenas' attack on Lenerose

The 14th Constructed Legion had been called to the capitol to perform ceremonial duties while the legion's numbers were replenished with newly constructed warforged. And while Unit 735240 was marching in a military parade, Tenas commenced his destruction. As the elven war god rampaged, Unit 735240 and the rest of the 14th Constructed Legion were ordered to contain the destruction to the best of their ability and save as many people as possible. In the execution of these orders, Unit 735240 braved burning buildings, shielded civilians from falling rubble, and - if the less reliable witness testimonies are to be believed - even briefly fought Tenas himself at one point. After escaping from the city, Unit 735240 and what remained of the 14th Constructed Legion escorted refugees from Lenerose to safer lands before moving to oppose the forces of Tenas emerging from the Grand Citadel.

Upon confirmation that it was one of the gods' chosen heroes, Unit 735240 has been called away from active duty and ordered to stand by until the rest of the chosen heroes can be gathered to begin the fight against Tenas in earnest.
