Six years have passed since the second battle of Hoover Dam, where the now infamous "Courier 6" overtook New Vegas with the aid of the enigmatic Artificial Intelligence Yes Man, establishing "The Regime". Defeating the invading Legion, before turning the guns of their cadre of Securitrons and Sentrybots on the NCR troops stationed at the dam. The Mojave is in chaos, with Caesar's Legion, the Great Khans and the various other tribes battling against the Securitrons of the Courier's fascist regime and with new players arriving on the scene...things are looking more bleak than ever. In his hubris, Caesar had been certain of victory, and marshalled the entirety of his forces, accompanying them to the dam personally. After their assault failed, the remnants of the Legion began their retreat, but were cut off by robots from the Courier's forces. With no option to return to the west, Caesar and his forces were forced to flee deeper into the Mojave. Where they happened upon the territory of the Powder Gangers. Though their forces were splintered and severely weakened, they were still too much for the rabble of former criminals to withstand. Within days, the Powder Gangers were forced out, and subsequently relocated to Nipton. Where ironically, they have thrived and are now more problematic than ever. The same however, cannot be said for the Legion itself. Though they now have a heavily fortified position within the Mojave's heart, and regional support from the White Legs tribe, whom migrated to the Mojave after their defeat at the hands of Joshua Graham and the Dead Horses in Zion Canyon in 2282. They are beset on all sides by the automatons of the Regime. Despite the proximity of Nellis Air Force Base to New Vegas, the Boomers have fared exceedingly well against the onslaught of the Regime. With the Yes Man AI having "personally" lead numerous assaults against the base but to no avail. The Regime seemingly ceased direct assault operations against the Boomers in 2285. Although the reason for this is still unknown to NCR informants. Graham and his Dead Horses, hellbent on the destruction of the White Legs and hearing of Caesar's defeat, have declared their "Great Crusade" and infiltrated the Mojave, taking the abandoned NCR Ranger Outpost from the small garrison of Securitrons that once held it. The Mojave chapter of the Brotherhood of Steel has gone completely dark. Whether due to internal policy, loss of access to communications or because they were simply annihilated by the Regime...we do not know. In response to these bleak times, and the threat of synthetic tyranny looming large, the NCR has made new alliances and truces all across America, most notably with the Brotherhood of Steel; and have established a special task group in order to bring peace to the Mojave. By any means necessary. Bonds will be made, bones will be broken; and the plot shall only thicken...the question is: What role will you play?
