Prudence now enjoys ensuring others, especially those who wrong her, face their consequences. Prudence is calculating and intelligent and is able to point out what others so often try to hide. This allows her to manipulate others into doing her bidding. Prudence enjoys sowing discord and spreading fear into those around her.

Despite the dark nature of her work, Prudence does have a soft side, especially for children. Knowing they are innocent until they grow older, Prudence seeks to ensure children are able to grow up without hardship forced upon them. If someone slights Prudence or those she cares about, Prudence would seek justice quickly and swiftly. Prudence does not hide her nature for fear of repercussion. She knows she is feared. Her mother worked as a domestic maid and cook while her father worked in the fields. When Prudence was 6 years old, her mother was accused of stealing from her employer, prompting the man of the house to hit her. Prudence's father did not take kindly to that and attacked the man. The next day, her family's home was torched, engulfing everything they owned. Prudence managed to escape, but her parents weren't so lucky.[/hider]

To do so, she has called forth a dark power and pledged her loyalty to him. He makes demands and she listened, singing his songs and bringing others to his flock. In return, she is given the power to cause mayhem and misfortune to those who would attempt to stop her. 

[b][color=CAB9DB]The Crone - a Grim Future:[/color][/b] Prudence seeks nothing more than the destruction of those who wronged her. However, Prudence does not just wish her current enemies undone, but all those who oppose her and women like her. Labeled as witches with no evidence other than their own fear. Any man who can so willingly discredit a woman for their own nefarious purposes is not worth the dirt beneath her soles.

[b][color=CAB9DB]The Lore:[/color][/b] Prudence's life was taken from her as a young girl when those in her community burned her home down with her parents in it. She escaped but was on her own. An older woman took pity on her and kept her safe and hidden until she was old enough to be put to work. Each day Prudence left to go work for a White family who treated her like gravel on the ground and each day Prudence pledged revenge.

Rumors had spread through her community about witchcraft. A day did not go by in church when the leader would shout about witches and the devil taking their hard-earned community, coming after their children, and sacrificing animals. Prudence listened intently. After all, this was something the people feared. If her enemies feared it, it had to be worthwhile.

So on her 18th birthday, Hollow's Eve, Prudence pledged herself to the Devil. She called forth his power, offering her own blood to do so. She felt chills and fire as he appeared before her, offering a contract. With it, she would be given the power to destroy her enemies.

Power comes with price. Prudence did not mind paying. Having lived on her own, she was secluded from the others in town. During the night, she would lead many of the young girls there to secret dances where they covered their flesh in blood and spoke in tongues. 

Prudence founded a small coven of these girls, but rumors continued to spread and many were charged as witches and were killed, whether or not they were witches did not seem to matter. Soon, eyes were on her and a mob formed. Prudence had left before they had arrived, but not before leaving them with a gift, setting her home on fire and managing to catch three of the mob in the flames.

Word spread that Prudence was a witch and to be on the lookout for her. Prudence bided her time, amassing more power as she continued to stalk and gather resources and members for her flock. The Devil may have given her the power, but she improved upon it.
