Younger-aged first years are sometimes scared of him when they first see him due to his size and the excessive exuberance of his character. During his time at Harold's Academy as a student, he was often the class clown and that has not changed one bit. He's a big teddy bear and loves the attention he gets from others, that's why his art is often extremely colorful and bold, the perfect manifestation of his personality. Ironically, from a family of 9 siblings, he was the only one to manifest a gift and become a mystic. As such, some of his siblings resent him for his gift, which allows him to sublimate himself and other objects into a green-colored gas, which he can control and then reform back into their original solid form. As such, Professor Darling does the bare minimum in his role, speaking with the tongue of a viper toward students that irritate him, not a care or encouraging word to escape his lips. He always seems so sneaky, like a fox wrapped in the most beautiful of silks. Minerva only deals with him when necessary, and even she despises his presence, especially as the only professor she did not directly hire. Cornelius is quick to give out detentions.
