It's kind of my favorite part of RPs. But I also don't really like being the driver for everything. So, please bring along your imagination and let's get freaky. PMs only for RP. Do not respond to thread - PM me. I will request a writing sample and will provide a writing sample or two.
I will post 1-2 times a week. Slowest is once a month. I write in third-person. I expect third-person from you. Please no colored text or fancy text. It hurts my eyes to read. I’ve never written s*x scenes before but I have always wanted to. This is NOT a requirement. It's just an interest to try my hand at. If you're interested, please let me know. Communication is key. I have no problem editing, adjusting, or adding to my posts if you require more or less to reply, or if we decided to go down a different route for the story. If you've been having a bad week or month, let me know so I get you're still on board but need some time. Stuck on your post? Hash it out with me. We'll get through it. If you're uncomfortable with anything, please speak up.
I freaking love dragons. So, it’s a huge shock for me that I haven’t done an RP with dragons.
Sort of an arranged marriage with dragon bonds. Story background: There’s this land that’s broken up between different clans. Each clan rules their own piece of land and most borders are generally respected with minor skirmishes here and there. Until one clan decided they would be the ruling clan of all dragons and land, and they declared themselves as such. At first, it wasn’t taken seriously. Until that clan conquered their neighbor, forcing the people into servitude and their dragons wiped out. It wasn’t just glamor and fame they sought - but blood and war. After some time of tension and battles fought, two clans decided to form an alliance. This alliance would present itself as a treaty between the two clans and also assurance that together, they can deter and fight back their common enemy. PLOT (I guess): The two clans agree to meet in the territories of the forest clan, where YC will find his bond mate and the alliance will be set and finalized between the two clans. YC’s dragon does find his bond mate. However, she is too young to recognise him as her bond mate and too young to breed. On top of that, her rider is male.
Your clan lives in a desert and your people and dragons are built for the harsh environment. Unfortunately, misfortune has laid her eyes on your dragons. With each passing year, fewer and fewer females are being hatched. With the impending doom darkening your doorstep, you look to an alliance that will ensure your people’s safety and, hopefully, boost the presence of females in your flock. Your desert dragons are large brutes, capable of fighting the monstrous beasts the conquering clan has. But you’re in desperate need of more females. Desert Dragon Example Your breeding practices follow natural cycles - including allowing bonds to form between dragons (and their riders). In fact, bonds are highly encouraged before breeding.

My clan lives in a flourishing place of forest, cliffs and plains. They’re strategic dragon breeders, creating beautiful bloodlines and targeting specific skills or abilities. Their bloodlines of dragons are not as heavily scaled or brutish like the desert dragons. Because of that, they developed a secret sect of riders, trained to become their greatest riders and their greatest assassin-warriors. For a while, this strategy seemed to deter the conquering clan from their borders until it didn’t. After too many close-calls of the conquering clan threatening to overpower their borders, they reached out to the neighboring desert clan, requesting an alliance. Their breeding practices do not encourage bonds between dragons to form. They view it as an inconvenience should one dragon pass as the other half would wallow in misery until they, too, pass. This is how they kept their bloodlines flourishing. Bonds between dragon and rider are encouraged though. They have a weird tradition when it comes to the female dragons and their riders. If the female dragon is breedable - i.e. not trained for fighting or is incapable of breeding - then the rider is voluntarily mute and communicates through sign. However, there is a mentor that is assigned to this pair whom the rider is free to speak to.

The alliance is built on a some-what simple exchange. The desert clan will provide their dragons and riders should the conquering clan threaten. The forest clan will provide female dragons to the desert clan to boost their numbers. This alliance is stipulated on the arrangement of a female dragon to bond with one of the desert clan’s high status males. Your character will be this high status male. <- this is the “arranged marriage” part.

From the desert clan. High status male - could be a prince, a warrior. Whatever. He holds a position in his clan that is highly respected and he was the first to be chosen to represent his clan in the alliance and also in the “arranged marriage” so to speak. His dragon is male and they have been bonded since hatching. His dragon recognizes his bond in my character’s dragon.

This what he look like An ex-assasin-warrior of the forest clan. He has the symbol tattooed on his shoulder - a mark to remind everyone in his clan of his sacrifices and the status he once held. Lost his first dragon in a vicious attack on the borders of his clan’s territory. Miraculously, he bonded with a second dragon - a female. But, when the alliance is formed, she is too young to mate, much less make a bond with another dragon.

If you ever read Eragon, it’s something like that. It’s a for-life type of bond and not many get to experience it. The dragon chooses the rider. You communicate with each other telepathically. For a human, there is no greater bond than this. For a dragon, there is only one bond greater than this. Most bonds are same-sex. So male dragon typically bonds with a male rider. It is uncommon for a female-male or male-female pairing to bond.

Dragons bond and mate with another for life. They are also capable of communicating with each other telepathically through this bond. It is a very strong instinct when one dragon finds their bond. Also, dragons will see the riders as theirs too. So, Dragon A sees Dragon B and recognises an instinct as a bond, they will also see Dragon B’s rider as their mate too, and vice versa. Dragons are capable of communicating with their rider-mates telepathically.

Most dragons are of average intelligence and can only communicate telepathically with their riders and/or their mates. There are a select few that are great in power and intelligence that they can speak actual words. Ever see Princess Mononoke? It will be something like that, where when they speak they do not use their physical mouth. But, their speaking abilities are limited to a few words or very very very cut up sentences. I kind of want to put a limit of 4 or 5 words strung together. Examples: “Fool!” “Little mate.” (referencing to a rider-mate) “I no like.” “Fish no good.” These dragons don’t only speak this way. They tend to keep to their bonds and only speak out-loud when they feel necessary. Such as to command attention to themselves. - Dragons of the forest clan have the ability to shift sizes from their full size to a “lap dog” size. Most will perch themselves on the shoulder of their rider in their smaller form.

An empire has more or less grown and taken over the country. This empire has taken full control of dragons, eliminating previous clans and tribes who had dragons. Now it's only the empire and those who serve the empire that has dragons. Except there has been a rebellion forming under the empire's nose. They've been collecting supporters and stray dragons to one day defeat the empire and allow all peoples to have dragons. Your character is born, raised and bonded underneath the empire. He has grown through the ranks with his dragon and has become a dependable soldier. His lastest mission was to seek out and find a rumored female dragon hidden somewhere. (Idk where yet). He finds the female dragon and her bonded person, a male. The problem is your dragon sees this young female as his bond-mate. Your character was taught and told bond-mates don't exist and he must bring this female into the empire. My character is the last of the Arden - a clan that was conquered by the empire years ago. It was assumed there were no survivors. His personal mission is to find a safe haven for his dragon and he believes that is the rebellion he's heard about. He can't let the empire get their hands on her. Slow burn story with twists and character development.
I hashed this out this afternoon. So, holes may be every where. If you have questions, please PM me.
