Just going to mention this now, in case it becomes relevant later. None of my characters are keeping their Grief Seeds on their person or anywhere close to it. The things are just WAY too suspicious for that, hah.

The two of them arrive. They don’t have anything to contribute to the conversation. They can wave and smile at various people who look their way. It’s not like they have any power around here.

Mariette gradually, soundlessly opened a portal, not saying anything. She didn’t walk in through said portal, the portal just opened mid-air in a place where it didn’t get into the way of anyone else, and on the other side sat Mariette. The portal was big enough she could step out of it if she wanted, but she didn’t. She didn’t call out that she’d arrived in any way, so someone looking in a different direction could possibly not have noticed her appearing until they looked in that direction. She just sat there, squeezing her bunny.

The presence of Sonia severely put Mariette on edge. That girl had been her worst fear for a lot of time. The idea that Sonia could just materialize out of nowhere with all of Mariette’s banes and just end everything with a single swipe. It could happen at any moment, at any time, at any place. She’d have been more than happy to see her eliminated… but guess this wasn’t the time.

Okay, eventually she did find something she wanted to say.

[color=077ae6]‘… If I was Wonderland, I definitely would want to eavesdrop on any meeting like this. I know, because [i]I[/i] was eavesdropping last time,’[/color] Mariette mentioned, not really for anyone in particular to pick up, but just to keep everyone aware of what they were saying, and possibly address the potential issue. In case someone had some eavesdrop-proof strategy in mind.

Because the whole thing Chloe was saying was definitely something Wonderland would be interested in hearing about.

Besides that, Mariette was keeping herself constantly ready to portal away and/or portal directly to next to Lily. She did not trust Lily's new bodyguard. At all. As such she kept very wary of her movements, and stayed mentally ready for a quick escape/rescue at all times.
