Growing up Beckett had everything he ever asked for, being an only child had its perks. Even though he was king of the hill at home, young Beck had it hard in his social life at King’s Academy. In his teen years Beckett was not the ginger adonis that might stand before you today, quite the contrary actually. He was tall, skinny and had some really bad posture. That combined with a personality that most would describe as awkward and annoying really didn’t make him the most popular kid at school, the huge braces didn’t help him in the dating department either. This combination of unfortunate looks and awkwardness made Franklin an easy target for the many bullies and jocks that roamed the halls of King’s. Many lunch hours were spent locked in a locker or thrown in a dumpster waiting for one of his few friends to come and dig him out. Thanks to the vast student body that King’s Academy boasted, Beck found the people that he could confide in and get through the troubling times at King’s. Mostly other artsy kids, skaters and outsiders. He found his passion for photography in his sophomore year when he joined the yearbook club and the year after he became the head photographer of the King’s Torch, the academy newspaper. His passion then turned into a career after he graduated from NYU and through some family connections at the MacMillan fashion house he got to intern at some prestigious magazines like Vogue and The New Yorker. Beck is your typical dude in his late twenties living in New York City! Fun loving and fueled by coffee, cigarettes and overpriced cocktails. If you are friends with him you know that he is one of the warmest, most loyal friends that one can ask for. But that being said, getting to that stage of friendship with Beckett is not the easiest journey. With his history he is an expert at building up walls to keep people out. With his new found popularity at such a young age came a surge of confidence. Beck started to dress more fashionable, eating healthy, and working out religiously to become what he saw as perfect. Suddenly people started to treat him differently. He got free gifts without even having to ask for them, models started to respond positively at his feeble attempts at flirting and even agreed to go out on dates.
