Personality: A smart-ass to the core, the overly polite side of Japanese society seems to have missed Sakura completely. Not that she cares all that much. She's had to fight for every scrap she's gotten, and it shows. She has a love of sweet romance novels, and has asked Izumi if she can teach her basic coding in her spare time.

Bio: Sakura seemed to have the world in her grasp. Going into her senior year at one of Tokyo's most prestigious universities with excellent grades, the only question was where she was going to get her Ph.D from. And then, it all went to hell.

One night, a drunken salaryman blew through a traffic light in his Subaru, and Sakura was the unfortunate pedestrian in his way. The blow wrecked her spinal cord, leaving her paralyzed from the waist down. She spent the next year trying to adjust her life to her new circumstances, and with her finances drained, she needed to get a job.

Ayame High came calling, and Sakura answered. And in the process, she found a passion she never knew she had. Teaching seemed to excite her, and she was able to make the topics fun and engaging for her students. A few of her seniors have even said she's inspired them to become scientists themselves. So even though she can't bring herself to believe what's happening, well, she'll do everything she can for her students.
