His mother, Oriyana "Yana" Kovalenko (FC: Oksana Fandera), 58, was born in Kyiv, Ukraine, but moved to Germany not long after she turned 15. She and her family moved to Kiel, Germany where she met a hotshot know-it-all with a passion that lured her into a lifetime of excitement and intensity in the form of Wolfgang Steiner (FC: Dolph Lungdren). He would go on to be one of Germany's best exploits in the world of boxing and by the time he was 35, he had amassed a world-wide name. Married to Yana for over 10 years at that point and started a family, having two children, Derex and Olena (FC: Pricilla Kelly/Gigi Dolin). 🥊 The Steiners moved to the United States after Wolfgang became the sole owner of Stone Gyms, a worldwide branch of Boxing gyms that would be headquartered out of Miami Florida, though the Steiners would find a suitable home in Palm Beach when Rex was 13 and Lena was 11. 🥊 Rex wasn't necessarily an angry boy or even that he was mad that he had moved away from the only home he had known. The boy then loved excitement. Loved adventure, but he was full of energy. Full of so much intense passion that it was almost hard to contain it. He always longed to be a boxer just like his father and had been training since he was 5, but when he turned 13, he began competing in junior divisions, where had great success. Especially with his father as his trainer. #gonepotism 🥊 Rex was always taught how to be respectful and to always stand up for those who can't defend himself. Being an older brother and even though Lena could more than handle herself, as she takes kickboxing, Yana was instrumental in instilling good values into her son. He was always bigger than those around him, so his strength must always be used for good. His mother also taught him how to be respectful to everyone and especially women. Didn't matter if he was dating them or not. Rex never would ever lay his hand to any woman and never has. He respects them but isn't afraid to reject if they dont' respect him back. Momma didn't raise a bastard but she didn't raise a coward either. 🥊 As he lived in Palm Beach, Rex befriended Ty Green and Asher Silverstein to the point where they became fast bros. The bestest of bros. They had their differences in personalities, but that's what made them mesh well. An easy, medium, and hard trio of bros when it came to intensity. Their friendship would remain strong post high school with them both always having a ticket saved for them at every one of Rex's fights. Front seat at that. Only the best for his boys.
🥊 Through his friendship with Ty and Asher, Rex came to know Amaanda Lee (though he always just called her Amalee). They were roughly the same age, but she always had these younger sisterly vibes and Rex has always felt protective over Lena even though she never needed it. So he had one he could protect on occasion.
🥊 In his junior year, to look good on his college applications, Rex was advised he needed an arts credit and he knew he couldn't draw and wasn't musically gifted, so he turned to theater, thinking it would be easy. He was of the mindset that all he needed to do was show up and say things. While still true, he acted so arrogantly that he rubbed a certain Paulina Villanueva the wrong way. A simple way of explaining his first impression of her was that she seemed too soft to phase him in the way that she did, but he was proven wrong and before long, they would be cast opposite of each other as leads in the play. So naturally, they would need to rehearse lines. The unintentional consequences of those led to a spark being ignited between them that led to steamy makeout sessions, bonding over their shared experiences as an older sibling, and the eventual relationship that blossomed through the many hours of being so close together.
🥊 They remained together through the latter half of their senior year until graduation and remained together some into the months after before they split apart amicably. They chose this path mutually because they didn't want to hinder the other's career, despite Rex regretting not speaking his true feelings in wanting to stay with her. 🥊 The awkwardness between them would only increase as their paths would cross several times throughout the following years due to their shared friend group. Rex is best friends with Ty and Asher and Paulina with Amalee, so naturally the paths would cross when their schedules allowed it, leading to some occasional hookups whenever their group of friends met up. Occasional and multiple.
🥊 In the boxing world, Rex is known as The Bull, which is more than just because when he hits, all he sees is red dripping down his opponent's nose, but he's built like a brick house surrounded by titanium. He moves faster than most would and when it's all said and done, he's the real star of every match. He has over 10 championships in his honor including 3 golden gloves, 7 world championships, and is aiming to qualify for the next summer olympics for team USA and bring his first golden medal. 🥊 His net worth is over 45 million due to sponsorships, ad campaigns, guest starring roles in premium cable shows, and merch sales. He currently lives in his Malibu Beach House. 🥊 Rex is an avid car collector. He owns his own garage where he houses his collectables ranging from old cars from the 60s and 70s that he commissioned to be redone and repainted to their former glory to the 4 cars he owns himself including his every day Hum-V, painted red and black with a bull emblem along the side of it. 🥊 Rex has only 5 loves in this world: his career, his cars, his family, and his two doggies: a 3-year-old Rottweiler, Missy and his 3-year-old Pitbull, Thor. He currently has their 5 babies that are hot on the market to be sold with him keeping 2 of them. 🥊 Rex is a devout Norse Pagan. Believes wholeheartedly in his Alfather and constantly wants to bring normal day awareness to it, despite the hatred he might receive from some self-righteous Christians. 🥊 Rex has a busy life, but he loves to stay active. Whether that's working out in the gym, hiking up the Hollywood hills, mountain climbing, or just enjoying nature, he's always doing something. He's a very physical man and his body demands it.
🥊 Fluent in German and English (speaks with a slight German twang in his voice) 🥊 He can cook up some good grub, too.
[sub]Wolfgang Steiner (father, 60) || Oriyana "Yana" Steiner(nee.Kovalenko, mother, 58) || Derex "The Bull" Steiner || Olena "Lena" Steiner (younger sister, 27)[/sub]
