But its closest to being gold. And I don’t want to do rainbows.
Appearance:
While the image covers his normal attire, beneath the armor he wears a simple gray loose fitting shirt. Something that is easy to move about in. He also carries a heavy golden helm, with horns protruding from the side to mimic his father’s helmet, though he often goes without it on. The helmet also has a golden visor that can be lowered to cover his eyes during battle. If he has to go out in actual civilian clothing, his mother has made him wear a plain white t-shirt, with a black hoodie and rainbow sleeves. He wears a small golden sword necklace, with a gaelic design. He wears black jeans, with black tennis shoes. Sigurd stands roughly 6 feet 2 inches tall, mostly due to his Asgardian Heritage.

Personality:
Sigurd is a very stoic individual, often speaking in a very calm yet serious tone. He is very straightforward, often not trying to hide feelings unless it is necessary. He tries his best to do the right thing when he can, helping those in need before himself. His primary goal is to train enough to be able to reconstruct the Bifrost and lead a charge to take back Asgard. Build a new home there for all of his fellow Aesir, and fight back others who try to claim the throne. While his battle skills are excellent, he comes to this Academy to hopefully train more for future battles, and further enhance his other capabilities. Deep down though, Sigurd often feels like he is not enough, often experiencing periods of self-doubt and questioning whether he is good enough for his goals, or even if he is good enough to stand in his father’s shadows. He mainly puts on this facade to keep up a stronger appearance, when in reality he is a very nice, sensitive, person trying his best to make a new home for his people. Sigurd knows the struggles of New Asgard and is trying to fit into the world. So he wants to change it. Sigurd also has a passion for poetry and literature, especially when it comes to a hero taking on the world. While his favorite one is from his namesake, he has also dabbled a lot in the Arthurian legends. Sigurd does take great pride in his Aesir and Vanir heritage. He has great pride in his ancestors and whatever came before, often criticizing people who say otherwise or even talk badly about the living situation of New Asgard.

History:
While the defender of the Bifrost, Heimdall, never had any reason to abandon his post like Thor had for Midgard, he one day found his hand forced; when Hela, the Goddess of the Dead, was freed and struck at Asgard, he only had one choice. Shamefully, he fled, hoping to warn the inhabitants of Earth and rally Thor and his allied Avengers to face this dire threat that could spell doom for all of Midgard. However, in the brief time it took him to do such, he met a mortal woman named Evelyn Jones in his time in the city of New York. It had been brief; he should've forgotten all about it, especially once the Avengers aided them in reclaiming Asgard and casting Hela back into Niflheim, and safely reclaiming his spot as the guardian of the Bifrost....But he never did forget. Time and again, Heimdall found precious few moments to return to Midgard to spend time with the woman that had enthralled him with her passion for knowledge and curiosity over the mythological. Eventually, this culminated in them having a child all their own, who was named Sigurd after a mythological hero of old. Sigurd grew up a mostly normal life, often traveling between Midgard and Asgard to spend time with each parent. They tried their best to give a normal family, even having Evelyn marry Heimdall under his human disguise, Donald Velez. However, Heimdall had to keep constant watch and maintain guard over the Bifrost, so it was difficult. During some of his excursions into Asgard, Sigurd often followed his aunt, Lady Sif, around and interacted with some of the other Asgardian children and recruits. During these excursions, Sigurd was often bullied due to his half-breed status by the other Asgardian kids. Not to be dissuaded by this, Sigurd often requested to train alongside Lady Sif and some of the other Asgardians, and even practiced a little back on Earth. Though this was mostly for play until they all came of age. About the time Sigurd turned 13, Ragnarok happened. Asgard went up in flames and many individuals lost their lives on the battlefield. Sigurd was back in New York having dinner with his mother at the time, and something deep down shook him. It wasn’t until much later that Lady Sif and Thor stopped by to deliver the bad news. Heimdall had perished in the event, and many Asgardians have taken refuge in the Netherlands, setting up the town of New Asgard. Sigurd was devastated, not only losing his father, but his second home. Upon getting to New Asgard, the feeling only worsened. The disrepair he saw his people in. He vowed to keep doing his best, and eventually help his people become great again. It was as if Odin and all the powers that be heard this oath, as very soon he found out he was connected to the Bifrost itself, able to use the remains to conjure small portals through which he could summon various objects. While he did try to teleport himself, he wasn't that successful. Oftentimes the energy fizzled out before it finished, but it was a start. After a few days of practice though, Sigurd knew what he wanted to use this for. Calling upon the powers that be, and struggling for minutes on end, he finally managed to use the Bifrost to call forth his father's sword, Hofund. It did initially shock some of the Asgardians at first, and especially his mother. Eventually they all came around to it and let him keep the sword in memory of his father. Some even say it may be a new hope for Asgard. His mother Evelyn managed to set up some helpful resources to come over to New Asgard, and even acted as an ambassador for the people of New Asgard to the new world alongside Jane Foster. However, this did cause her to be busy for extended periods of time, leaving Sigurd in New Asgard under the protection of Lady Sif. It was hard, but Sigurd took this time to heighten his training and even help the efforts in building and maintaining New Asgard. He was also among the first in line for the recruits to help defend this city. Everything was looking better for the young lad, and, as the initial turmoil of there suddenly being a new country and inhabitants subsided, he was able to spend more time with his mother in New Asgard. Then the snap happened. His mother was erased from existence, along with half of the inhabitants of New Asgard. Devastated at the loss of his only remaining parent, Sigurd flung himself into his training. He vowed to be a savior to these people, even to Midgard as his ancestors had been. He even took extra training from Lady Sif to better understand some of his other abilities, such as what would eventually be Allsight. When the snap was undone five years later, it was a shock to everyone. New Asgard had progressed and many individuals lost to time and given burials were suddenly back. While all Sigurd wanted to do was hug his mother, danger was afoot. Many troops of Thanos swarmed the planet and came for New Asgard, hoping to dwindle the reinforcements the Avengers could call upon. Sigurd took up arms with his fellow men and managed to keep the city safe. After the thrilling battle, there was a joyous reunion with his mother. They talked, and she complimented Sigurd on how much he has grown, but he needs to start taking it easier on himself. Thor Odinson left to go elsewhere and handle his grief over the same loss and defeat of Thanos, leaving New Asgard to the hands of its people. Sigurd still stayed with the active guard, constantly training to keep in peak form. It's been about two years since Thanos’ work was undone, and things are going better for New Asgard. They have finally set up a good home for themselves, even if it still wasn't the best they deserved. Brunnhilde, or Valkyrie, had even been given a new position at New York in an academy made to train the next heroes. While many were offered the position, Lady Sif strongly suggested Sigurd. It took a bit of convincing, but with a little help from his mother, Sigurd knew this was for the best. He had trained enough in combat and really needed to hone in on his other skills and talents, something this academy could help with. Maybe even some actual other classes. With a hug from his mother, he left New Asgard, hoping to continue training til he can make his way back and lead a charge back to Asgard.

Powerset:

Superhuman Physiology - Similar to the rest of his Aesir bloodline, Sigurd has superhuman physiology. It's not as potent as his Asgardian brethren, but that is due to his age and his human heritage. This includes

Superhuman Strength - He is able to lift up to ten tons.
Superhuman Durability - Able to withstand many beatings from his Aunt and other fellow soldiers of New Asgard, though that is also them holding back.
Superhuman Stamina - His metabolism and genes have worked together to hold off many toxins for about 12 hours.
Superhuman Speed - He is able to run at about 100 mph
Superhuman Dense Tissue - Sigurds skin is about twice as strong as a normal human, making shots very difficult to take. This adds to the strength and weight.
Superhuman Reflexes - Due to constant training, Sigurd is a bit beyond that of a peak athlete.
Superhuman Agility - Sigurd’s agility is a bit beyond that of a peak human athlete
Extended Longevity - Sigurd will start to age at a much slower rate than that of an average human now that he has almost hit the prime of his life.
Regenerative Healing Factor - Similar to his Asgaridian brethren, Sigurd is able to heal at a faster rate than most humans, due to his enhanced body and metabolism. Still a bit slower by comparison to other Asgardians. He is also unable to regrow organs or limbs.

Allspeak - Good news, this guy does not need to take a language class. Similar to all Asgardians, Sigurd is able to communicate in about any language imaginable.
Allsight - While Sigurd is not as perceptive as his father, he has gained the unique ability to be able to briefly look forward into the future by a few seconds to anticipate what will occur next. Though out of combat, in a meditative state, he is able to see up to an hour ahead and behind. He has chosen not to enhance this ability further beyond this point just yet as he wants to focus on being able to control and manipulate the remnants of the Bifrost itself first, despite the teachings of his aunt Lady Sif.
Bifrost Manipulation - Due to Heimdal’s reign as being the protector of the Bifrost, some of its magic has been passed on into his bloodline. Sigurd is able to open up portals to transport objects from one place to another, often being his armor and weapon of choice, Hofund. He cannot transport any humanoid creature just yet.

Equipment/Paraphernalia:

Golden Asgardian Armor - As shown in the picture, and described, he does have golden armor that he can summon into place. It was a gift from Lady Sif and some of the other soldiers from New Asgard to help keep Sigurd safe on his journey.
Hofund - The large sword that Heimdal used to wield. It was created by the Dwarves of Nidavellir, and blessed by Odin. While it has other mystical powers residing in it, beyond being a conduit to control the Bifrost, Sigurd has yet to unlock and master them, preferring to focus on the Bifrost capabilities. Doesn’t help he surfs on it while flying through the sky. Currently this is the biggest thing he can summon through his portals.
Golden Gaelic Sword Necklace - It's a small trinket that was gifted to him by his mother. Sigurd often wears it and fiddles with it whenever he gets nervous.

Weaknesses:

Self-Doubt - While proud of his heritage, due to the weight of his mission and lineage Sigurd often feels like he isn’t enough. Combined with bullying from a young age, he can often question his own judgment.
Boy Scout/Over exertion - Sigurd is very kind and caring, often to a point of over exerting himself through his multiple tasks. He often stretches himself far beyond what he can be capable of.
High Pride - Insult Asgard or Asgardians and you’re probably getting more than a cold, judgemental, stare.
Lack of Diversity - Despite his very well adapted battle prowess, Sigurd lacks in completely understanding his other abilities; often not having proper control over anything beyond his portal generation. The portal generation also needs a lot of work before fully being at a point he is happy with.
Limited Book Smarts - While Sigurd has a passion for literature, tales, and even trig, due to his interest in training and his chosen lifestyle… Yea there wasn't much time or effort given to understand Chemistry and science.
Allsight - Currently Sigurd has no control over this ability while not meditating. Any time it is used in combat is merely a fluke, and can only look ahead by a few seconds. While in a meditative state, Sigurd can also only look forward in time, and backwards in time, by an hour.
Bifrost Manipulation - Currently Sigurd can only summon out stuff about as big as his sword or his armor. Each use of these portals also slowly drains him of his energy, so prolonged use can cause him to tire out. Sigurd can also only open one portal at a time currently.

Issue #0/Testing Post:
Sigurd was sitting on his porch overlooking New Asgard. He had built many memories here. Training with Ragnar, fighting off the invasion, even helping others build and maintain their houses. It was too surreal thinking back to about seven years ago the disrepair the city was in. He smiled, though he knew this wasn’t truly ever going to be their home. 'It’s my duty…' Was all he could think. For a moment, he was at peace. Thoughts started flooding his head. 'Am I good enough? Can I control the Bifrost? Will we ever be home again?' They started swirling around his head, pointing out many of the different flaws in his plan. 'Would this work? Maybe this? It was almost too much to bear. Just breathe. It will be ok. We will get there. Its why the school is there. But you still can only pull something as big as Hofund through the portal. What makes you think you can do more? I needed to protect everyone. Just like you could protect your mother?' A gentle hand was placed on Sigurd’s shoulder, shaking him out of his panic. He turned to see his mother’s smiling face. “Everything ok dear?” “Aye mother. Tis nothing but a simple thought.” he chimed, trying to shake off all of those thoughts. His mother just glared at him, before hugging him tightly. “I’m sure you’ll do great things.” Sigurd took a second but hugged back. “I know. Thank you mom.” Pulling away, Sigurd’s mother smiled. “Now don’t forget, my little soldier boy,” she said before messing with his hair, “You promised Fareel down by the market you would carry her groceries.” “Aye mother…” Sigurd sighed, readjusting his hair back how he liked it, then taking off deep into the city. Sigurd spent the rest of the day wandering around the city, helping those in need. It was his last day before taking off to the academy. Playing with the young ones. Assisting some of the new recruits with their swordplay. Even helping some repairmen fix a leaking roof. Though soon after that, he was stopped by Lady Sif. “It’s time Sigurd.” With a quick trip back home, he bid farewell to his mother and aunt, and took off. With a mighty swing, Sigurd sent Hofund flying, before having it port behind him so he could leap onto it and ride it off into the distance... only to land in an open field outside of New Asgard. Sitting there was a Quinjet, and a fairly large built man standing beside it. Sigurd bowed. “Greetings Sir Hogan.” Happy just sighed. “Hello as well Sigurd. Please step inside. We got a long flight ahead of us.” With that, Sigurd boarded the jet, ready to take off on a new adventure.

SIGURD'S RELATIONSHIPS

💞Heimdall💞 Heimdall is Sigurd's father. A man who has helped raised the boy from a young age. While it was difficult to keep up with the young boy's life, Heimdall tried his best, often leaving his sister to guard Bifrost when the time was necessary. Sigurd holds deep respect for the man and hopes to one day live up to his expectations,
💞Evelyn Velez💞 Evelyn is Sigurd's mother, and he cares very deeply for her. She has done everything to be supportive with her "Little Soldier Boy," even homeschooling him so he could explore Asgard more. It deeply upset Sigurd when she was snapped, but now that she is back everything is fine. He also really respects her work in helping other Asgardians when times get tough. Especially since she tries to be an ambassador between New Asgard and Midgard.
💞Lady Sif💞 Sigurd's loving aunt, and effectively his second mother. Lady Sif has been around the boy effectively his entire life, either acting as a babysitter for him during his trips to visit Asgard, or as a training mentor for combat and Allsight. She was there for him when Heimdall died, and even more so when his mother was snapped. It was even Lady Sif who suggested Sigurd pursue going to this academy, feeling as if it would be best for him to explore and train on his other capabilities. Also, yes. Despite the very close relationship, Sigurd always prefers to call her Lady Sif.
🎆💕Brunnhilde/Valkyrie💕🎆 Due to Brunnhilde having such a close working relationship with Lady Sif, Sigurd has often met with Brunnhilde. Doesn't help they often met and talked while Lady Sif was playing babysitter. She was even an instructor for Sigurd during his time in bootcamp, though that was often spent alongside her work in helping found New Asgard. Brunnhilde even went on to become its leader for a bit of time, before stepping down to work at the academy. She was around to help so much with Sigurd's life that, if Lady Sif could effectively be a second mother, Brunnhilde can be an aunt.
🎆Thor Odinson🎆 While being a good friend of Lady Sif, Thor and Sigurd have rarely interacted personally. However, Sigurd has heard plenty of heroic tales about the Mighty Thor, either from his mouth, Lady Sif, or even his mother. Sigurd often looked up to Thor as a very heroic figure, which is why it was hard on Sigurd when Thor was depressed during the snap. However, he always held on to those beliefs, and, once the fight with Thanos was over, he held grand respect for the old leader.
🎆Jane Foster🎆 Sigurd has met this person the least amongst everyone else on this sheet. However, during the times that Sigurd has met her, she left a very good impression. She worked alongside his mother to try and support New Asgard, and has now recently taken up the mantle of The Mighty Thor after Odinson decided to leave. Her heroics have been inspiring, and something Sigurd hopes to strive for.
👋🌓Beta Ray Bill🌓👋 While Bill is a good friend of Lady Sif, and he has been known to hang out with her a fair amount, Sigurd does not really know him. While this is very similar to Thor Odinson, Sigurd does not know as many tales about the heroic alien who could also wield Mjlornir, and even has Surtur in a blade. Sigurd respects the... man? for that. However, to Sigurd, he is just an acquaintance at best.
💜Ragnar💜 Ragnar is Sigurd's oldest and closest friend from Asgard. They have gone through so much together, not only serving bootcamp and countless training sessions, but also joined forces in defending New Asgard. They are both guardians of New Asgard, often keeping watch over the city, and helping those in need. Ragnar is much less serious than Sigurd, and will often call him out to loosen up some.
🙇Amora, the Enchantress🙇 Sigurd does not know what to feel about the new leader of New Asgard. She has not done anything to personally dislike her, but he has heard countless stories told to him via Lady Sif of her nefarious deeds. While she got the position due to good behavior and having a watchful eye kept on her, something doesn't settle right leaving the hands of this second home to someone like her.
