Camila blinked a few times at Isla's question. "Do I want the...? What? No, no. Don't be silly Isla. We have plenty of them to go around so there's no need to worry about it giving it back. In fact, I wouldn't be too surprised if the Professor doesn't hand out a few to everyone before you all leave." The assistant mentioned with a nod. She smiled at the younger girl and shifted her stance a little from leaning on her left leg to her right leg. "That said, I do recommend using the Pokeball. I'm not sure if you're aware, but should you not do so, there's a chance that someone could catch the Eevee. It's just how the system works. You don't even really need to keep them in the ball for the most part either you just need to make sure the Pokemon that are your friends are tagged so that..." Camila started to lecture though she seemed to realize that if she didn't stop herself, she'd probably rattle on for some minutes. She brought her hand up as if to caugh into it before saying something briefly. "So that you can make sure no one else captures them and you can do your job for the Professor." Camila thought Isla was a little weird, truth be told. She expected that everyone would know the reasons to put a Pokemon in a Pokeball but here she was, standing corrected by the truth in front of her. She crossed her arms as she was curious what Isla's reply would be to this. She merely hoped that Isla would understand that it was in her and the Eevee's best interest. Isla blinked, pausing for a moment at the sudden explanation. Well, was really the first thought. Sure, she knew of people who stole Pokemon but...as far as she could remember from the news, they found other ways than Pokeballs and just...caught them anyways. Those sorts of things ranged from nets on the low end to specialized Pokeballs on the high, and even the simple act of stealing the Pokemon while they were inside the balls was a thing. Would catching him...really protect him? Would he be safe from it all if there were other ways? "I can tag him other ways, though...right? Chips to keep track of him or...prevent Pokeballs from working? I mean..." she paused again, trying to think of a good way to put things. "A normal person won't try to catch a Pokemon sitting on your shoulder, because that's...that's rude. People like Team Rocket will try to steal them anyways, though, even if you've had them in a Pokeball. Right?" "It's not the people like Team Rocket you need to think of." Camila stated poking her chin for a second. "It's more like... Imagine you and your Eevee get lost in a forest and seperated. What's to stop a trainer from seeing a 'wild' Eevee and trying to catch it on sight." The assistant mentioned "With the Pokeball, they just throw it and it just harmlessly bounces off and that tells them instantly that it's already caught." Camila then mulled over her thoughts for a few seconds. "As for a chip, the professor may know about something but I feel the Pokeball technology is far less intrusive than implanting a chip in a Pokemon. As I said prior, you don't even need to keep it in there. It can function well outside of it's ball. It's also useful if it's ever injured or endangered somehow since you can recall it inside the ball. It's easier to transport them in a ball when they're fainted than with your arms." The assistant fake coughed into her hand again, realizing she just spoke so long once again. She took a breath but there was a small bit more she needed to say. "They also need to be in a ball to be quickly healed up at a Pokemon Center." She took a deep breath and allowed Isla a chance to reply. "Oh." Isla looked down, the image of her injured Eevee just there suddenly. Yeah, no, those were...good points. It wasn't as though everyone extremely eager to catch an Eevee would be someone in Team Rocket, and also...it wasn't wrong that a chip would be more intrusive. Besides...Camphor definitely wasn’t going to pay for that. "Maybe I will, then." She scratched around the fluff near the ears, frowning just a bit. A thought occurred to her, then, a question she hadn't heard answered before. "What's it like...to be inside a Pokeball?" "Hmm. It's hard to say, really. Humans don't go in them and Pokemon don't have great vocabularies." Camila said with a small giggle after. "But I will say every Pokemon that goes in one doesn't typically mind it. For the most part of course. I did hear a story of one that refused to go in but I think it was mostly stubborn and very rebellious." Camila mentioned looking down to the Eevee and then back to Isla. "As I said before. It's a great safety measure and you can pretty much leave your Pokemon out of it as long as you want. Though some stores and bakeries don't really like them inside if they leave sludge, fur or goo around. Never take a Goodra inside a coffee shop." She giggled again, trying to turn Isla frown upside down. A snort, then a chuckle at that immediate image came from Isla as she lowered and shook her head slowly. Maybe, maybe, maybe. There wasn’t all that harm in it...was there? She could have him out anyways, day to day, and it'd be just for emergencies. Yeah. Was she the weird one? Was anyone else having these sorts of questions or...were they just going out, catching their partners with no questions asked, rushing back in? Heck, probably. Isla sighed at that, but then again they probably understood all the little benefits of a Pokeball that had just been lost with her. But, still...it seemed so mechanical, so unthinking, so...uncaring, in a way, if they just...caught them and that was that. Surely they'd form bonds after, in Pokemon battles and stuff, but...why form the bond after the catching? It seemed backwards, rushed in a way. Heck, heck. Taking out the Pokeball from her leg pocket, the Eevee looked up at the unexpected movement, staring at the object. Well...alright, she thought, slowly moving it closer as she kept scratching between his ears, trying in some way to distract him, something, anything. Tap, right against his side. It clicked, opening with a snap motion. A bright light, right in her eyes...and then he was gone, the ball closing. The Pokeball shifted briefly in Isla's hand, back and forth for a moment as she stared at it in her palm, eyes slowly adjusting back to normal. Finally, it was still, her hands closing over the sphere just a little. She looked back up at Camila, almost expecting some kind of comment at...she didn't really know. Being blinded, maybe? The moral issue that just...seemed to be alien to her? Something. Isla was quiet, though, not really knowing what to say. Camila watched on with a smile as Isla seemed to have some sort of internal debate or something of the sort before getting close to the Eevee and tapping it with the Pokeball which, at the end of the day, ended with it's capture. "Congratulations. You're now the partner of one Eevee." The assistant mentioned, looking toward where the Professor was. "I know that the Pokeball may seem a bit cruel but it's not all that bad." Camila didn't feel the need to lecture on that any more. Isla seemed to more or less understand the Pokeball's uses. "Any plans on how Eevee evolving?" Camila asked the trainer with a sly smile on her face. "I of course recommend Sylveon. Fairy-types are the perfect combination of cute and powerful." Obviously, Isla could even tell that Camila was a bit biased on this subject. Isla looked down, considering the ball, her Eevee, and...well, sure, the future. How would she evolve her partner...was it really a planning choice she wanted to make? She wasn't sure. On one hand, there was something to be said for planning and...on the other, 'cute' and 'powerful' weren't really things Isla was interested in now. Her Eevee was already cute and, as for powerful...well, that only mattered with Pokemon battles, didn't it? There could always be other ways. Clicking the opening clasp again with her thumb, the Pokeball snapping open again with a bright light, and there the Eevee was. He yawned, quickly deciding precisely where he wanted to go with a leap onto Isla's shoulder before clamoring left and right, paw stepping on the back of her head. Eventually, and will a little bit of help, he was settled down to lay over her shoulder. "Well...no, not really," Isla almost half-whispered in response, suddenly aware that she shouldn't be too loud out of politeness. "Just was going to go wherever it went. Hmm..." A name. He needed a name. What could it be? Isla didn't want to name him something normal or something that someone else might name theirs. There were a lot of Pokemon that were fluffy and him being even more so didn't really mean enough to just call him Fluffy. Besides, what happened if he stopped being fluffy in the future? A lot of Pokemon were sleepy, too...that wouldn't do, no not at all. What did she feel...right there? Well, that was easy. Isla felt like dancing, even if she really couldn't at that moment in time. Dancing. Yeah, that worked well enough, she decided. Slowly, she rose to her feet, careful enough not to let him slide off, one hand resting gently on his side with the fingertips grazing the very tips of his fur. "How's everyone else doing with theirs?" "Fair enough." Camila stated, looking back the way she had came for a second. She didn't really have much more to tell Isla right now. She was just all in all glad that she had convinced the girl that she should put the Eevee in a Pokeball as it was in everyone's best interest. Isla and the Eevee most of all. "Well, I'm sure this little guy would appreciate every little thing you do for him. But yes, everyone else. I've no idea since I've been talking with you for a bit. The Professor was having all the people that already had Pokemon show them to her so we could head back and show your Eevee off if you want." Camila looked to the Eevee on Isla's shoulder and instinctively brought her hand up. She realized what she was doing and frozen. "Do you mind if I give him a little pet on the head?" She asked a small bit sheepishly. It was always polite to asked first of course. "Sure, that's...that's fine." Isla found the question that had then followed to be so...so funny, just how it had been said and phrased that she felt like laughing. Of course, that only made her pause, struggling to not chuckle or laugh lest her shoulders start to quake and wake the Eevee back up. He's already started to snore now and again, deep and heavy breaths like a miniature engine. For a brief moment, Isla wondered if anything actually would wake him up since he seemed to have fallen into a deep sleep so freely, so quickly. Awkwardly angling herself to proffer up that shoulder, she replied, "Yeah, you can pet him." Camila's face lit up. She took a step closer and calmly moved her hand forward to pet the Eevee. Her fingers stroked the soft fur on the normal-type Pokemon and her face relaxed and then melted into a wholly pleased one. "Soooo adorable~" She whispered, not trying to wake the Pokemon up. Her hand moved towards it's back, her fingers sinking slightly into the fur but relenting before the tail since many Pokemon didn't like their tails being touched. She then gave a small scritch on the top of its head before removing her hand. "Hehe~ Thank you. Such a cute little thing." She took a step back and fake cleared her throat, keeping her back to her slightly more professional attitude. "That said, shall we head back to the Professor since you have your Pokemon now? I'm sure she'll want to see your new friend." Isla watched as she pet the little guy, the snoring dying away into simple deep breathing as the other girl withdrew her hand after a moment of indulgence. It was almost funny, how Camila had turned into a little ball of eagerness at the first sign of petting a Pokemon but, then again...Isla really was the same way. Maybe it was just the difference in how she'd been introduced, as an aid to the professor. Maybe. It was still funny, though, and she let-out a long, deep breath to try and not begin uncontrollably laughing at the situation. "That'll be nice, yeah. Let's go."
