Amethyst already completed whatever objective they had, which meant that it was useless in trying to stop them for the moment. They needed to know what their overall goal was to even do anything or think about their next step. More importantly immediately problematic though, was that battling here was a terrible, terrible idea. She didn't want to get her cute butt kicked that badly.
