Sabrina blinked her honey eyes at the new set of notes given to her by her husband. She took a glance at the notes and tilted her head in confusion with the glyphs she recognized off the bat. 'Anubis, Death, Energy, Darkness? What an odd combination of hieroglyphics.' She thought as she served Cosette some fava bean stew with white rice and a glass of freshly squeezed juice. "Prudente, le ragoût de fèves est chaud," Sabrina warned her youngest of how hot the stew could be, indicating for Cosy to blow on the bites she would take to eat it. She felt awful seeing the familiar glint of hurt in Theo's eyes. It wasn't like Sabrina wanted to steer him away from Thierry's work. The issue was that working with Thierry got complicated fast. The dark-haired woman was about to spit out the sip of coffee she had just taken when Thierry agreed for Theo to join him. Sabrina raised an eyebrow at her husband. Her expression was less questioning and more impressed. Yesterday, he had instructed that she and the kids needed to stay as far as possible from the burial chambers, and now he was offering for their son to join him. Maybe he just needed some sleep, not that he came to bed very often. At home, Sabrina would often find Thierry asleep in his armchair in his study or on the sofa, usually with his notebook or some sort of paper in his hands. It was usually after the second time Cosette asked for a glass of water in the middle of the night when she would go check on Thierry, she always carried a blanket with her, knowing that he'd be out cold from exhaustion of studying artifacts. Sabrina thought for a moment that she may have slipped into an alternate universe where her husband decided to include their children in their field research. He even asked Auri about her photography! She felt the need to pinch herself, refraining from doing so as that might be too sarcastic of an action in front of her children. "I think a family picture would be very nice," Sabrina agreed with a smile as the family gathered around one another after Aurelie set up her camera. The mother had no idea how many times she would cry over this simple picture in the future.
Just before the family set out to the burial chamber and while the kids were getting ready, Sabrina gently touched Thierry's shoulder and handed him her take on the glyph notes. "They are discussing some energy field of sorts. One that seemed to be used as a power source. A power source for what, I'm not sure. They warn of how dangerous it could be to absorb such energy. One could meet Anubis if not careful or strong of heart," she explained with concern in her eyes. "There's more to this job than just digging up artifacts, isn't there, Thierry," Sabrina stated more as a fact and less of a question. "We don't have to bring the kids. They'd understand. Auri and Theo, especially. If it could become too dangerous, they need to be aware of what's going on. " she murmured as she smiled softly. "We all do, Thierry. You know I don't like being left in the dark with these situations," the mother of the de Viller children reminded her husband as she could recount the times that Thierry left out information in hopes of protecting people got them in trouble, and that was before Auri entered the picture.
