Jill's face briefly fell when Yuu said he would not wait for her. After all, she hadn't exactly been planning to linger in the lab. She would just run in, return the bucket, thank Frieda again if she was still about and rush out. However, he did seem genuine in his promise that he would wait for her at the Pokemon Centre, so her smile returned and she gave him an awkward thumbs up. As she was doing this, Aster had somehow managed to wriggle out of her trainer's arms and crawled up onto her shoulders, still very pointedly not looking at either Yuu or his Riolu as she did so.
