Her people hail from the forests of the wood elf peoples and they are a relatively peaceful race, only knowing war if it comes to the heart of the woods itself. Her people stand guard over the entrance to the Spirit Bird Sanctuary, protecting them from any threats that may come for it. They are equipped with powerful nature spells to keep the woods healthy, and thriving. The people themselves are forbidden from leaving their home, as they all play a part in the protection of the Spirit Birds and their sanctuary
CLASS
Grove is a Druid, with a focus on using the natural world and natural magic to heal. She gets her magic from the God of the Hunt.
Appearance
Grove stands at a relatively short height for a Cervitaur at six foot one inch tall. Her fur is a blue-grey hue, and she has black strips that run the length of her back. Her hair is a dark blue hue, and she has eyes that are a piercing shade of red. She has two horns that come to a sharp point, however, she will have no desire to use them as a weapon. As the season is currently summer, she is often seen covering the top half of her human torso with a cloak, and these are usually cropped.

HISTORY
Being born in the Elder Woods, Grove was raised in a near-perfect paradise. Food was plentiful, good times were the norm, and conflict was often thought of as a distant thought. Her early years were spent out in the woods, learning what part each creature played in the ecosystem. As well, she was brought to the druidic order and began her instructions with healing magic. Her early years were, by in large, uneventful, uninspiring, and boring. As she grew, she could not hide her desire to see more of the world. She has always wondered what the great cities of human kind looked like, to befriend a dwarf, and to see a real battle in person. She was able to befriend a dwarf in the woods, yet she has never been allowed to leave the Spirit Birds territory. Despite her repeated attempts to leave, she has always been intercepted and brought back to her home where punishment awaited. Punishment was usually more of the same, uneventful, uninspiring, and boring. The Fates visited her as she planned yet another escape from her homeland. As she readied her bag, they surprised her in disguise as three spirit birds. They dropped her a staff and explained that there was a world for her to not only explore but save. They told her of The Maestro, of the corruption it brought to the natural lands, and of a way for her to heal it all. The staff was the fated Warden’s Embrace and it was crafted from the bark of a tree from the Fae’s own Elder Tree. As well, it has five Spirit Birds bound to With the Warden’s Embrace and her fated quest, Grove set off at once. At her heel are her people's scouts, ready to drag her back home once more, ahead of her is her destiny.
FEARS
Grove is constantly afraid that her sheltered life will not only make life on the road hard for herself but also for those that she may one day call a friend. She has no experience in battle, no experience being on the road, and no experience making friends with others. The fear that she will fail those who need her is a persistent, and hurtful, fear. As well, Grove is afraid that her naivety will bring hardship. She does not understand the rules of the world. She does not know what to look for in a person to determine if they are trustworthy. Thus, she worries that she will be putting herself in danger without realizing it. Above all that, she is afraid that she will fail in her own quest to restore the desolate lands. Her staff promises great power if she can figure out how to use it, yet what if that is not enough to return life to the land? What if she returns home without the accomplishment of fixing a blighted land, and only has hardship to show for her troubles?
GOALS
Her primary goal is her fated quest to defeat The Maestro. While she has no idea how to do this, she hopes the other Fated Warriors will. That is not to say she will be useless in these fights, as her healing magic may prove vital in the journey to come. Her secondary goal is to cure the desolate lands. The Fates told her that Malakith’s magic still runs deep here and that she has the power to bring life back to the broken lands. As such, she will make it her focal point when possible to heal these lands.
SECRETS
The Spirit Birds that are bound to her staff were stolen from her own people. Thus, she knows an armed response will be following her until they can retrieve them. She does not know how she will ever bring this up if, and when, she meets her fellow fated warriors. She secretly hates her home. It is too perfect, too peaceful, and too familiar. She would never say such a thing aloud, but deep down she is glad she was chosen for her fated quest.
FLAW
Grove, like her people, often speaks in rhymes. This is not something that is a conscious thought, it is simply the speech pattern of her people. Yet those outside her lands have often found this trait weird, and annoying. She also has an overly idealistic view of what the outside world is like. This will prove challenging for her as she faces the reality of what it is

Skills
Grove is an accomplished runner, and scout. She has spent her entire life running around and through the Elder Woods. As such, she is nimble on her feet and quick in the breakaway. She is also an accomplished healer even without her magic. If there is a natural environment around she will be able to find ingredients to make an effective salve, and if she is lucky she will be able to find the right ingredients to make a healing potion. She can also track even the most stubborn of prey. As long as they escape through a physical means, she will be able to catch their trail and lead her friends to them.
ABILITIES
Grove can heal most wounds by nature of her innate magical abilities. She has to find the right ingredients to do so, but as long as a limb is not removed from a body she can generally heal any non-fatal blows, and can even bring back a person from the brink of death.

An eye for detail: Grove can quickly find ingredients that can be used in her potions. She has incredible senses for these ingredients even if they are not ones found in the Elder Woods. If there is a magical property that she can use, she will be able to identify and figure out how to use it. Combine it: Using her trusty tools she can quickly combine these ingredients to make either a healing salve or powerful healing potions. These healing tools are infused with powerful healing magics from nature itself. If someone has a broken bone, it will take her magic anywhere between one to three hours to fully mend it. If someone is one foot into the realm of death, if her magic is successful she will be able to bring them back to full health within a day.
FATED WEAPON
Grove was gifted the Warden’s Embrace. It appears to be a simple stick with leaves as blue as the Spirit Birds bound to it. There are Fate strings that attach the leaves to the stick itself. There are grooves, holes, and various other gouges that are purposely cut into the design of the stick yet Grove has been unable to work out what it is for. As of right now, she can use the stick to summon walls made out of vines in any location. The wall of vines is ten feet tall, and several feet wide, and is impassable to anyone who attempts to traverse it. This vine wall will last for a near-infinite amount of time, and it can only be removed with fire or with slashing attacks. If someone does get caught in the grasping vines, they will have to deal with a powerful toxin found within the thorns. The toxin’s effects are, as of now, unknown.

Her rhymes are not all that good.

Lysander Shadowthorn
The Frost Maiden
21 - She/Her - The Frost Maiden - Bisexual
"Find cover in the frost" —Lys Lysander Shadowthorn RACE
Human
CLASS
Lysander is a Cleric of the Frost God. In times of need, she can call on her god in a time of need to cover an area in a persistent blizzard.
Appearance
Lysander Shadowthorn, the war leader of the frozen nation, commands attention with her imposing and statuesque presence on the icy battlefield. Towering above her comrades at a height of six-feet two-inches, she is never lost in a crowd nor is she ever mistaken for someone else. Lysander has a curvy figure that was sculpted through years of combat training, enduring the harsh elements of her homeland, and through the genetics of her parents. Her eyes, a piercing shade of icy blue, mirror the frozen waters of her homeland. The gaze that emanates from these frigid orbs holds the depth of someone who has weathered the storms of both leadership and death. Lysander has long white hair that flows down her back. She is clad in battle-worn armor forged from frost-resistant materials, and it is adorned with intricate engravings and symbols, and the symbol of her people the arctic fox. As such, she stands as a visual representation of her frozen nation's tenacity. Suspended at her side is a magical war horn, intricately decorated with runes and carvings. This horn is her fated gift, and she carries it like she would any other horn. It is often hidden under the thick cloak of fur she is always spotted wearing.
HISTORY
Lysander life has always known hardship. Her lands are in a near-perpetual state of winter. The lands are covered in snow for eight months out of the year, and the people face a near-constant freeze during that time. As such, the people who have learned to call this place home have had to be adaptive and strong. Even from a young age, the lessons of her people were drilled into her. By age five she was expected to handle her fair share of the chores, by age seven she was expected to learn how to track and help the hunters, and by age twelve she was expected to be able to hunt on her own. As she grew, more and more was put on her shoulders and they grew strong as a result. It was at this time she began to spend more and more time at the Temple of Frost. She had shown signs of having frost magic in her blood, and her family knew that she would need to learn to utilize it to advance in their society. When she came of age, she began to fight. Whether in the pub, street, or on the battlefield Lysander quickly proved her abilities. With her life dedicated to the Frost God, and her skills in a fight, she rose through the ranks and was given her first command at age 19. In the two years since, she has suffered through harsher winters, hard-fought victories, and several defeats. She was out on a hunt when the fates visited her. At first, she thought she had gone crazy in the cold. There were three stags, but each one looked off. And no matter how many arrows she fired, or spells used, she could never catch a single one. Eventually, they led her to a clearing where her fated gear was resting on a rock in front of her. When she grabbed hold, she was brought to The Fates themselves and told of the impending doom. Lysander took much convincing. Eventually, The Fates were able to get her on board and she left for her fated quest
FEARS
Despite her commanding presence and unwavering leadership, Lysander Shadowthorn harbors a hidden fear that lies deep within her heart. It is the fear of failure, and it is the fear that her failure will lead to her people's destruction. Lysander's fear is rooted in the concern that her decisions, strategies, or actions might lead to irreversible consequences for those who look to her for guidance. The idea of being unable to safeguard the well-being of those under her care haunts her, driving her to constantly strive for perfection on the battlefield, and in personal matters. While she outwardly projects strength and determination, this fear serves as a silent motivator, urging Lysander to continuously hone her skills, make strategic decisions with utmost care, and ensure the survival and prosperity of those in her care. It is a fear that she faces with resilience, but one that occasionally creeps into her thoughts, a constant reminder of the high stakes of leadership and the vulnerability that comes with shouldering the burden of an entire nation.
GOALS
Lysander’s goal are the safety of her people first and foremost. Every action she takes, every decision she makes, is done with that goal in mind. It is what drove her onto the fated quest. While her homeland is far from where she must travel, it is a journey that has to be made now to ensure her people do not feel the corrupting influence of The Maestros magic. As well, as the maiden of the frost, she wants to bring a never-ending winter to both her lands and the entirety of the world. She, and her people, believe that to truly worship her god is in the cold, and she has a goal to bring that winter to all.
SECRETS
Lysander is secretly performing spells to bring about a never-ending winter wherever she travels. While these alone will not bring about her goals, it is a step towards that eventual truth. She plans to try and locate powerful magical artifacts along the way and use them to fuel her magic when the time comes. Lysander occasionally experiences cryptic visions of an alternative future, diverging from the threads of fate woven by the Fates themselves. These visions hint at unforeseen challenges, unexpected allies, and the possibility of diverging destinies. She keeps these glimpses of an uncertain future to herself, grappling with the ambiguity they bring to her already complex role in Fate's plan.
FLAW
Lysander has always had issues delegating tasks when in command, even if someone could do something better than she could. This has led to a few of her defeats in battle She is also a diplomatic disaster waiting to happen. If a situation requires a polite, and gentle touch, she would come in with a fist. As such, she will ruin the chances the party may have at finding a peaceful trip, a successful heist, or even winning over allies. Even when she tries to pay someone a compliment, it can come across as an insult.
Skills
Lysander excels in strategic planning and battlefield tactics. Her keen understanding of terrain, weather conditions, and the strengths and weaknesses of her forces and adversaries allows her to make sound tactical decisions in the heat of battle. As a skilled warrior, Lysander is proficient in various forms of combat, including swordplay and hand-to-hand combat. Her strength, agility, and mastery of weaponry make her a formidable force on the front lines, leading by example in the thick of the fight. Lysander possesses a commanding presence that inspires loyalty and respect among her troops. Her ability to lead by example and instill confidence in her forces plays a crucial role in maintaining morale and unity on the battlefield. Connected to ancient magic specific to her frozen nation, Lysander has developed a mystical affinity that allows her to tap into the natural elements and harness certain magical abilities. This connection enhances her strategic capabilities and provides unique advantages against supernatural threats. Adaptability and survival instincts are ingrained in Lysander's skill set. Whether navigating treacherous landscapes, enduring harsh climates, or facing unexpected challenges, her ability to adapt swiftly ensures the resilience of her forces.
ABILITIES
As a cleric of the Frost God, Lysander is able can wield powerful cold spells.

Wind Chill - Lysander can call upon the winds of her homeland to buffer, and slow her enemies in a fight. The howl of the wind can also drown out much noise as well, preventing her enemies from engaging back with any sense of coordination. To use this, she has to recite a chant for her god and ask for his blessing. Once given, she can cast his spell
FATED WEAPON
Lysander’s fated weapon is the Blizzard Embrace and it takes the form of a warhorn. The warhorn is forged from a combination of enchanted materials native to the frozen realm of the frost god. The main body is carved from the tusk of a mighty frost wyrm, known for its strength and icy nature. It is adorned with runic symbols, which wrap around the horn, and is kept on her body by the fated strands that make up its strap..
FATED POWER
The Blizzards Embrace bestows the power of The Howl of the Storm. The ability provides protection from The Maestros musical influence and a resistance to the cold of her own spells. In order to use these powers she has to blow through the warhorn, which produces a loud sound, and she has to do this three times in quick succession The protection lasts anywhere from three to five minutes, and it depends on how precisely she can time the horns call.
