If I'm making a character, it'd definitely be an overseas student from America. America would probably also just be funny to be from in general, since it'd be so divorced from anything monarchist to begin with. In complete contrast with how this version of europe seems to be.

I guess one classroom drama could just be something like "damn American students not respecting our titles" or smth, as a basic piece of drama that could come out of it.
