To add on this as I'm talking to Legend about it: It is [i]both[/i] an issue on mobile and desktop. If you're on desktop, uBlock Origin will remove all the ads for you. On mobile, I'm currently at a loss. I use Opera GX for my phone browser, and the ads get through their built-in ad block feature.
