Premise: The Fujiwara clan, long the rulers of Kyoto for over a thousand years, has finally fallen. The ownership of the Spiritual Land has now become disputed among squabbling magical cliques that only enrich the cycle of violence that reigned so long over humanity. But before their fall, the spiteful head of one of the only renowned families from the east decided to conduct one last act of vengeance: the commencing of the Holy Grail War, one that had been planned for half a century. The Grail, which was modeled after the Fuyuki Grail that was stolen by Darnic Yggdmillenia in the days of the Second World War, was supercharged by the powerful magical energy present within the Spiritual Land of Kyoto, which combined with the long time it took for it to charge up, made it something truly worthy of being called a chalice of miracles. Those awakened to their magical potential have been scouted out by the respective organizations that their ancestors belonged to, taught as shortly as possible how to utilize their gifts. Of course, some of these individuals have been forever changed by their awakening, such as gaining abilities of the mind or even turning into a bloodsucking monster. The Clocktower and the rest of the Mage’s Association merely see it as nothing more than another Grail War, though they are rather cautious of the potential that such a powerful variant could blossom into. Nevertheless, the ambitious mages from all around the world are craving for the pieces of the Spiritual Land, possibly even the entire territory, and so the Clocktower have sent their Awakened representatives, sponsored by the hungering mages waiting to descend upon Kyoto like vultures. The other two parts of the Mage's Association have also shown their interest, recruiting their Awakened as soon as they could find them. However, with the little time they have, even the esteemed parts of the Association would not be able to completely train their candidates. Meanwhile, the Holy Church sees it as their responsibility to oversee such an unprecedentedly powerful Grail, especially since the Fujiwara family had relatively good relations with the organization. But with the coming of the Holy Church, so does the emergence of their hated enemies: the Dead Apostles. These unaging bloodsuckers either have entered the war for their own twisted whims, or have been sent by the administering bodies that the Dead Apostles Ancestors govern. Either way, they are trouble. This is where the players come in. The Grail has been designed with a strange structure in mind: three-pair teams. Currently, the amount of teams will depend on the amount of players interested, but I have the following teams in mind: Clocktower, Atlas, Wandering Sea, Holy Church, Dead Apostles and Awakened. The last one is quite special, as it is one of the other divergent parts of this Grail War. They are the descendents of the dying lineages that contracted with the Fujiwara family for the start of the Grail War, and as such have awakened to their magical lineages, the knowledge and crests of their families being recreated and engraved onto their very being. There is no particular limit in terms of how far away an individual has to be from the Grail in order to awaken, as long as they are located on the Planet. Since these individuals are rather inexperienced and weak compared to the other teams, they are considered an “independent group,” meaning that they are essentially absent of any structure that resembles a team, but are capable of forming pacts to ally themselves with others under a contract similar to a Geis, with a maximum of three pairs per team. Regalias: An essential part of this Grail War. Instead of simply having the relationship of Master and Servant, a third wheel is introduced! But don't worry, this won't hinder the performance of your team. In fact, it will boost it to levels not possible before! This RP will focus quite a lot on growth from nothing- Zero to hero as they say- and as such, Regalias have been introduced into the system. Regalias are shards of the Lesser Grail modified in such a way as to catalyze growth and realization of potential. They are expressions of the very souls of the Master and Servant, and allows for growth that normally wouldn't be possible in a Grail system. This, of course, required effort in order to utilize. The Master and Servant will have to grow together in order to progress their Regalias. Think of them as skill trees that unlock certain things based on the training and internal growth of an individual. This does not necessarily have to be purely introspective realization and character growth, but also things such as developing one’s magecraft or ability to use a sword. All forms of growth (even direct physical) will result in the Regalia being painted. Be warned: the Regalia will ultimately drive a person toward their most suited path based on their actions after they have acquired it, and if they aren't careful, it could very well induce changes that are virtually irreversible. By collecting materials and collectibles scattered around the map, the Regalias can be fed and progress can be made. There are three stages that are brought on by the Regalias, and these depends on the skills and play styles the players utilize in the game. Think of it as similar to Eve evolutions from Pokemon. Of course, this can evolve existing skills and abilities under a "skill" system similar to what Servants have, which even Masters will be granted. A sort of pseudo-Saint Graph is attached to Masters, allowing them to obtain their own Skills, Parameters and equivalents of Noble Phantasms Take note: Servants and Masters will become more intertwined as their Regalia grows. Servants will start to gradually incarnate and Masters will have their souls refined and purified to resemble that of a Heroic Spirit’s. Be careful: such miracles are not easily left alone by the powers that be. Note: Abilities unlocked via Regalias are called Milestones. Team Regalias: While individual Regalias are a representation of the bond between Master and Servant, Team Regalias are the expression of a team’s very reason for seeking the Grail. They represent the hopes and dreams of the group, and are far more intrusive than their individual counterparts. This is the expression of the three Regalias of a team- Mind, Body and Soul. Thus, they represent a “creature” that collects the residue of the individual Regalias. Practically, this means that the team can gain collective bonuses based on their actions as a group, how they craft their identity as a team, the effects they have on the outside world, and finally, their progress towards obtaining the Grail. Team Bonuses: There are certain bonuses that each team can uniquely obtain, granted by their Regalias. These can eventually grow and change under extreme or gradual circumstances, allowing them to grow into tumors that intrude upon the world, much like the principles of certain bloodsuckers. Of course, these growths can also be achieved by individual Regalias, however it is much easier for Team Regalias to achieve them. Entirely new Team Bonuses can also be gained through enough justification and growth of the component Regalias that make up the Team Regalias. Note: Starter Team Bonuses are focused on territory and base-building, but you can choose to diverge from that path later on. The world in these territories is changed to be something entirely different, resembling the dreams and fantasies of those within the team and the central theme of the group, which can change over time.
Awakened: Those that have been awakened to their ancestors’ magecraft, granting them the crests, knowledge and magical potential of their lineages of mages. These are descended from lineages that were dying and thus needed something to ensure their continued existence. The Fujiwaras contracted dying lineages in order to ensure enough participants in the Grail War. Regalias: Pieces of the Grail that induce three stages of growth for both Servants and Masters. As the bond between a pair grows and they share interactions with others, they become defined by the change in their character and are able to ascend. This focused a lot on character development and interaction, and something like a major change in character can allow for ascension. Team Regalias: The manifestation of the bonds between the members of a team. Since it applies to all members of a team, these are relatively minor, and are more like slight passive abilities given to team members for developing bonds between team members and finding out more about each other. Teams: Representatives of different organizations across the magical side of the world. Though the Grail has designated teams, these are not necessarily filled, and if there are not enough participants, the Grail will resort to a more traditional approach to the war. In this case, Team Regalias are applied to alliances formed by pairs.

Clocktower: None yet. Atlas: None yet. Wandering Sea: None yet. Holy Church: None yet.
