Floyd - Into Darkness - Jessalyn Floyd just watched as the girl started to approach him. It seemed she was frightened by him, as if he were a beast she was slowly approaching just for games. Then suddenly, she sat next to him, about a foot apart between their arms. Floyd didn't speak at all, he just stared at her as she continued to move in. Then she added words to her movements, asking the reason for his treatment towards her. She rambled about her feelings and how the world around her seemed to be limiting her or some shit. Then it happened, she was so close to Floyd that her head came in contact with his shoulder. Her words roamed his mind as he felt her agony, agony that angered him. Floyd's conscious involuntarily used anger to block out other emotions that it did not comprehend. Floyd's entire life had been filled with nothing but agony, so this little interaction, this 'love' as this girl would call it, was bullshit. She didn't respect him, she was merely using him like she did that other guy. She gave him sex for protection, and now it seemed she was about to do the same with Floyd. Without further ado, Floyd jumped as her head had laid there long enough. He busted into a stance as he looked at her with brows contracted with rage. "Is that what you think of me? HuH? I saved ya damn life back there! I come here and give you a damn blanket and my food!" he yelled. His voice echoing through the woods. The darkness had finally upraised. They were surrounded by complete and utter darkness, nothing in sight. "And here you are askin' me why I hate you?" He then rushed forward to the bowl of food he gave her and tossed it forcefully against a tree. "You don't know nuthin' girl! You sit out here talkin' bout how rough you've got it, how alone you feel! I've never had friends! I never had someone take care of me like your friend Lynn! Nobody gave me nuthin', I faced the world on my own god dammit! I sure as hell never fucked someone cuz I felt alone! You don't shit about being alone!" he growled as he walked side to side gasping for air. He looked at the pitch black trees for a second as he regained his breath. He shoulders swayed up and down along with his torso. He then fell to the ground from exhaustion and vexation. His mind was clouded from the events that just barely unfolded. This girl did not understand the new world they lived in. She still felt like there was trustworthy people out there, but failed to notice how everyone changed after the virus spread. Nobody is who they were anymore and those that are - die. She was blind and Floyd could not comprehend. How could somebody continue to be who they are after what's happened? It just didn't make sense, yet this girl, Jessalyn, was an exception. She still breathed and was about to bare child yet she didn't change her ways, why? But suddenly, that thought was laid to rest when sudden moans could be heard nearby their camp. Floyd quickly regained his balance and ran towards his bow, at the same time, picking up the girl by the arm, even if she pushed him away. Out of the darkness came two walkers lingered out, all running into the cans he set up earlier, tripping over the small string, yet still getting back up and reaching the two. "Follow the marked trees back to the railroad and stay there till I find you! GO!" Floyd commanded, pushing Jessayln towards the first marked trees. The events unfolded so quickly that he wasn't prepared for it, it was so unexpected. In addition to the three walkers that initially jumped from the dark, another four joined them. There wasn't even a second to think, only react. Floyd armed his bow and shot one of the walkers in the head, but did not have time to re-arm it once more. Without hesitation, he twisted his torso, taking his bow like a bat, and as he twisted, smashed the walkers brain, shattering through the skull, but eventually breaking his bow in two. That left five more walkers, or so he thought. It seemed that through that battle, more walkers had entered the arena, more than imagined. He could no longer keep count, so started to run to the left, away from the tracks, screaming and taunting the walkers as he sprinted. This was to have these parasites follow him instead of heading back to the tracks. But one can only run for so long, the walkers, forever. Ironically, the one alone was once again Floyd, into darkness.
