Trying for two birds with one stone? Well, that was foolish. The Clockwork Man thought, as he judged his opponent’s target even before she fired the nether bolt. Far off to his left, barely even likely to hit him, as a result of trying to hit the grenade he had thrown with his left hand towards her at the same time. With lightning reflexes, he pivoted on his right foot, bringing the left of his body away from the bolts trajectory with relative ease, while simultaneously he yanked the grenade low with Technomagic, allowing it to skirt underneath her attack. The bolt of nether energy sheared straight through the pillar it hit, and dissipated against the far wall. Noting she was about to move, he decided to sacrifice maximum damage on his explosive for a quicker explosion, detonating the grenade six feet from her, helped along by the fact that she decided to speed towards the explosion with her sprint-pack. He judged the pillar she was –trying- to reach was at least thirteen feet from her, so she had no chance to reach its safety. The small metallic object erupted with plasma fire that could consume flesh instantaneously, and melt through most metals. Its full effects had been contained in the pipe before, which had taken the force of the explosion and suffocated the plasma. This time, all 4000 degrees of the terrible substance was launched all around, melting through the ground and pillars, and sure to end his foe’s life unless she had something other than technology and cheap tricks to save herself. Fortunately for the Clockwork Man, he was just out of range of his own attack, and his pistol had just struck three, it was at maximum power, almost time to strike.
