Sanctum

The Device stays dead in space, ignoring all gravitational pulls, appearing to be doing nothing at all. It just remains steady near the Invictus, it's purpose unknown and it's time of activation, or if it is already functioning, is unknowable too. Whatever the case, the Invictus and a detachment of the fleet seems to be guarding it

Dead World

"So... you were the Extra Dimensional Being the Umbrae Populus worshiped, Correct?"
"You give them such a demeaning name"
"Yes or no?"
"Yes. I tried to hold onto them, but the Collective would not let that happen. As my people killed each other in the name of the Collective, the Collective sent a specially assembled team to the world, and they tore me down with their minds, battling with me, my soul torn by their attacks. I tried everything to get away, but they contained me, stub me... I only escaped by chance as my temple attacked the Collective, diverting their attention... I fled, weak, and have remained here since that fateful day."

"There was always more to that boast... You have defied gods and demons, in a literal sense." The being said, sadly, and then there was the sound of a sigh "And now you are here to finish me" The Lead Scientist paused, contemplating the instructions he had recieved
"No. You have suffered enough, Param Habui." The Lead Scientist concluded, glancing back to his ship "I can show you what your people have become. I think you would be proud" He turned back to the being, holding out his hand and taking a hologram from a Synth Soldiers, flicking it on and placing it on the floor, backing away from it and activating it. The hologram displayed the beautiful city that the Umbrae Populus called their capital, tree's grew along lines upon the cities many different layers, waters flowing in fountains and the white, carved out walls and floor, grown with vines. The being moved forwards, the mist still enveloping it

"I cannot allow you to return and reinstate your religion." The Lead Scientist quickly cut in. He thought about proceeding to mention how creating a religion was sort of tricking the Umbrae Populus, like lieing to them, but thought better of it.
