Colony 257 "Hold on sir, my debt is yet unpaid." The Draconian crouched over the human, he was a second-gen born on the colony. All he knew was servitude, and to him the human's lifesaving actions put a debt on him. It was as it had been his entire life, and of course allowing a human to die on the colony would earn you harsh punsihment. "If you choose to believe that you had a debt to me..." Croaked the human through his breather "... you paid it off already... by living. Unlike my people... yours have been redeemed." The Draconian still had a hard time pushing the life of servitude away and hearing what the human said, could he really mean it? Did he declare the Draconian species exempt from their past shame? "How can you say that? My ancestors enslaved trillions, they-" "Yes... they did. It was all them... you are not them... you're better. Perhaps the others... will see that..." Just as they were talking, a knock came on the door and the Deca-Commander went to answer. "Of course, gracious host. What is it you wish to discuss?" Mars The preparations for the ceremony have begun, including the production of a whole lot more Terran Orbs. There were only ten in stock, and they were supposed to last a decade. Probably because the award was created right after the Common Sense War and was only ever meant for humans. ((Again, sorry for short post. I went on TVtropes and lost the entire day to it.))
