Word spread quickly when the Black Widows had returned, though nobody was as infuriated as their leader. The returning thugs where cursed out of the building by the leader, before he settled down and tried to figure out what to do. "Hmmm...... One man, Talented..... and he goes and takes my goods....." he thought to himself aloud from behind his desk. He shook his head and leaned forward in his chair, arms now resting on the desk in front of him. "Put out a bounty on this man, anyone who brings him to me will get a handsome reward! If he's brought in alive, they will get a bonus! Giving me the chance to personally peal that bastard like an onion will be worth it, but mounting his head on that wall will be all the same to me! Go spread the word!" With that, his thugs ran out the room to get the bounty out there... --- Somewhere along the edge of the Vorakian Desert, a small town lay there. It was a left over from the water treatment projects, a crumbling, dieing town. As one Black Widow thug walked out of the local bar, a young woman clad in red walked in. She had been in town for a week now, looking to work up enough money to journey ahead and cross the border into the more neutral territory of Morr. She needed to get out the nation before Seekers find her and before this new war gets ugly. She walked up to the bar and sat down on the stool. A rough, unkempt, overweight bar tender walked over to her to greet her. "Afternoon Kat, here for the same thing I take it?" he asked as he continued to wipe the inside of a class with a piece of cloth. "For the seventh time Mac, the name is Katherine, not Kat, not Katty, not Rine, just Katherine. Not that hard to say....... And yeah, any bounties availible?" Katherine asked with a slightly annoyed tone, Mac simply shruged and pulled a piece of paper out of his apron pocket. "Some Black Widow thug came in with one, apparently their boss wants this kid looking fella dead or alive. Last seen on that stretch of road way out there in the desert. That's all I got for today." he finished, walking further down the bar to cater to customer. While she wanted a more legitimate bounty, taking jobs from the government may not be the best strategy for someone with Talent. Thus she took the piece of paper and walked out the bar towards the last known location. --- A few hours later Katherine arrived at the sight of the ambush. Immediately she could tell that the bounty didn't lie about her target having Talent. Some sections of the road and ground where deformed unnaturally and fairly recently, so she guessed this talent had something to do with manipulating the ground. Further observation showed why the bounty had ambushed them here. There was chunks of rubble and rocks laying along the side of the road, easily providing cover to anyone in hiding. She decided she would wait and see if the person would return, after all, much of the surrounding landscape was barren and empty, and this spot was the only place that provided some form of cover. She leaned up against one the rocks in the shade and sat down. "Time to play the waiting game...." she huffed to herself.
