Name: James WrightGender: MaleAge: 22Appearance: Personality: Depending on the situation James' personality can change drastically. If the situation is important or serious like a losing battle or an escape from prison then james will act more silent and professional than he would if the situtation was less important. He usually acts rather charismatic and tries to get as many people to look past the colour of his skin and see his personality more than where he came from.History/Biography: James was born in Africa to a name he has long gotten rid of. His father was a hunter and his mother had died during childbirth. As a result, he was often malnourished as a child and grew to be weak for his young life. His weakness was soon fixed by his father who taught james how to hunt and how to cook from a much younger age than he should have actually been taught. James idolized his father and tried as much as he could to be like him. That is, until the slavers arrived at James' humble village. They had strange skin and weaponry, curved shiny objects that could cut through something much better than james' primitive spear ever could. He had hoped that the strange people had come to make peace with the village and possibly even give him one of those curved shiny things, but the strange people's intent was a lot more devious than James' expectations. The strange people overwhelmed the village and captured just about everyone. james was separated from his father in what would be the last time he would ever see him in his life. James was put on a boat next to many members of his village along with a lot of other people he had never seen before. It was many days before the boat stopped and had reached land. James was chained with many of the other people and had to wait many hours until he was moved again. He was taken to a sort of podium where people were shouting and arguing in some illegible gibberish. James would later realize that this was the point in which he had been sold as a slave.James was lucky though, he had been sold to a richer family who had bought james as a sort of playmate/servant to their young son around james age. They taught him English and how to read and write. His life was pretty good considering what other people had gone through as slaves, the beatings were minimal, he was provided with enough food to survive, he got to see new places when he went around with his 'master'. The boy that James was paired with had no prejudices towards race. For someone whose father was a slave trader he was surprisingly not racist. He treated James as if they were equal to a point and actually became best friends with him as time went on. He even demanded that James came with him when he attended his sailing classes. James practically learned all there was about sailing during his time with his friend who would help him in later life. When James and his 'master' were 22, James' master made a tough decision. He was to leave home to join the navy and he knew James couldn't come. He helped James escape the man who had bought him and got him onto a ship headed back to Africa. Which was promptly attacked and seized by pirates. James was transferred a few times and has heard about getting some sort of brand or something.Emplacement of future Slave Brand: Right arm
I finished my app
