Oh. I found out on the wiki. I'm thinking that this race of mine would be a 'gene-stealing' reptilian kind of race that had at one point abducted Triariis in order to conduct experiments and integrate their DNA into their own. Of course, they've pretty much 'stolen' from everyone. They won't be evil though - or they used to be, but grew more benevolent and moral after assimilating the 'right' DNA. This of course, meant that they must be ancient, and has a cycle of regression and progression that spans centuries or even millenniums.
