Jackson Delfuro was sitting in a chair, with his hands resting on his solid bronze desk. "So, let's make sure I understand the situation clearly. You needed money so you took out a loan. The transfer got botched and the authorities seized the money. Now, they took the money after you took possession of it, and you're telling me that you aren't paying for the loan?" A small man, sitting across from Jackson, responded while trembling incessantly. "I'm not paying you back for money I never spent. Listen, I'm sorry that this went south, but I can't give you money that I don't have." Delfuro chuckled "I understand, don't worry about it. No hard feelings my friend. Now if you could go, I have other business to attend to. The smaller man left, shocked with Delfuro's response. Now he'd have rent money, he thought. Now, maybe he'd be able to get ahead and ... It didn't matter. When he exited the building, two of Delfuro's associates were waiting for him. They took him to a deserted warehouse, and shot the cheap bastard in the head. They set the scene up to look like a drug deal gone bad, deflecting any investigation towards small time junkies who were known to visit the warehouse from time to time. They then went about their business. Delfuro was busy today. He'd just dealt with some rich ass hole who borrowed more than he could handle. Now he had to make sure a deal was in place. The Vorakian navy was as corrupt as any organization could get. At the moment, the agreement between the navy and Delfuro was about to expire. He had his friend, Tony, call the Chief of the Navy using an untraceable and secure line. Tony was to offer a 15 million dollar increase in the man's profit share of lucrative smuggling business, which the Chief had been intentionally overlooking and occasionally supporting, in addition to the 3% share of the illegal slave trade. Elsewhere, Delfuro had Nicky put a hit on a priest, requested by another priest on the basis of competition elimination. The Delfuro organization held a large stake in the slave smuggling trade with wealthy landowners in Ecana. Using this, a team would be smuggled in along with the next shipment, from which they would plan the next phase of the assasination. Fortunately, the team consisted of former landowners in Ecana, who left to enjoy "the finer things in life" which crime provides. Everything was in motion, time would dictate the future events.
