Leonin aren't unheard of outside of Ishhae, but they are rare. Swift drew gazes as he marched through the city's streets. He looked like a cat with a purpose, but it was a ruse. In truth, he had no idea how to navigate civilized streets, and was walking more or less at random, looking for the emblem that had been on the scrap of paper that had brought him here. His spear was tucked into the back of his loose garment, and his club was hanging at his right hand. Ka was somewhere, probably hunting, but she would come if Swift called. For now, he decided to enlist the help of the city's local birds. He pulled his flute from where it was tucked into his shawl and tooted a little tune that sounded identical to birdsong. He played again, and after a moment a few pigeons started landing nearby, tweeting and cooing at him. He put the flyer he had on the ground and pointed at the symbol, tweeting a question, asking if they'd seen this sign. Their responses made no sense. They used sounds and calls that Swift knew, but they ordered them strangely and they hopped around as they spoke. He tried asking again, and as he played his bird flute, something shining clinked down onto the ground in front of him. He reached down and saw that it was a small circle of copper, with a face cast onto it. Soon a few others followed, all thrown by people passing in the street. Unsure of this custom, Swift picked up the coins, and put them in a fold of his shawl. He put the flute to his mouth again, this time asking the birds to show him where the symbol was. At once, they all kicked off of the ground and flew down the street. Swift followed suit, sprinting after them, dodging people carts and the occasional horse. All of the birds landed on to the roof of a building that stood at the end of the road he ran. Sure enough, the building had a banner emblazoned with the tree symbol. Swift strode forward, unsure for a moment, but opened the doors and walked in. "Hello? This is the tree of iron?"
