Bruce - Truth/Lie - Jess Bruce's face was face palmed with desperation. One couldn't decipher if the water that ran his cheeks were from tears or sweat. His black blood continue to dissipate across the concrete below him. It created small puddles here and there. The guards remained outside, waiting on Jessalyn to due her bidding. They all wanted to honor Eli's last wish to rid of Bruce by the hand of his greatest treasure. After a reluctant silence, Bruce raised his head, enduring the muscular pain. One of his eyes was completely shut from the swelling. His other eye though, remained intact and completely functional. He stared at her intensely, forcing her to stare back. Then the man started to shake his head left and right, east and west. "I didn't mean to do it. I didn't mean to force these men to lose their women" he said, suddenly breaking out into a sob. Each breath he took was different than the last. His anxiety was causing him to have dilated gasping patterns. Nobody had ever seen Bruce this low before, this was a first. "I.......I never meant to hurt you either Jessalyn. That day - the day I wronged you - I did it because I was afraid. I promised you safety yet I failed to provide it, instead, I ran away and hid from what I did. And even know, just before you forgave me, I wronged you again. I just can't commit to this, to our child. How can I bring our kid into a world like this? Tell me? How can you believe everything will be alright? HOW?!! When I lead Haywood, I had to make decisions that no other human being would have ever made. I had to take away my friends' wives, for some their daughters, do you think I don't regret it? I DO! ALWAYS! It haunts me daily. At first I didn't know what would happen to them, but then realized what Tyler was doing. I know, believe me, I know that I'm no perfect being. I've sinned too many times that not even God can give me pardon. But even though I've faced many sorrowful difficulties I have indeed accomplished things. I've provided survivors with a safe haven for nearly a year. I've given them a house, food, water, medicine, a job - I've given them a purpose. I've not only saved people, I've started a revolution. Tyler informed me once that he'd wish to create such an organization as Haywood. He envied my creation. I met a man who traveled from Alabama who said him and his people had also set up a small complex such as Haywood. He said their location was walker free, not an undead bastard in sight. But most importantly, fate reunited us. Though I've showed no remorse, the truth is, I never stopped loving you. From the day we crossed paths right after the outbreak, I have never stopped loving you. I know I left, but that was because I feared having to lose you in the future. I know you still feel for me too, I can see it. You bare our child, please don't let those men out there take its father away. I want to help you, but I need you to help me first. You need to stop them from killing me, because you know they will. Please, if not for me, then for the child. I'm begging you to help me so that I can provide our child a healthy life. We have everything we need in Haywood. I need you."
