That was me. I remember that day. The group named the dinosaur 'Nakama, which to my knowledge meant 'Good Friend' in Japanese.. It was used to perform horrible, horrible deeds. If I had a quarter for every time I've heard someone say "It was Nakama, not me!" I'd be pretty wealthy.

I got one of these. He was a nightmare.

Then he grew up and saved me from a burglary and a mugging.

Then I moved from the suburbs (pasture lands) to the heart of the city, and my roommate, who didn't like cats, threw him outside before I had a chance to gently introduce him to outside. He ran away because he was scared, and before he could find his way home two weeks later, someone ran him over. On the sidewalk. And just like that, I lost my first fur-kid. I was devastated.

Years later, may aunt's dog had puppies. So I took the one on the far right.

Too bad I fell in love with the village idiot.

She's about as intelligent as a box of broken bricks. She is a permanent outside dog, except when she comes inside at night to sleep. (Despite being trained to go to the door to go potty, she still blatantly pees on the carpet. She stares right at me when she does it, too.) But as dumb as she is, I still love my little idiot.

She's a horrid little shit. Dogs really do take on the characteristics of their owners.
