Special Abilities or Expertise: Runic Mage, using the Elder Futhark rune alphabet. Also uses cigarette smoke to cast spells, create runes and alleviate stress. Also has a Doctorate in Rare and Extinct Languages.

Nationality: Extranational, considers himself a member of all nations and at the same time, a member of none.

Biography: It's an interesting thing to have your life turned utterly and completely upside down. When he was younger Jacob was just your normal everyday stoner and casual student. Going through his life day to day, job day by job day and class by class. He was in fact the last person you would expect to manage to get a doctorate, let alone become a Rune Mage and Smoke Mage as well. 

He was "awakened" to the world of magic when he was almost killed by a rogue lycan attack on a camping trip. He got away alive, but realized the arts of magic and the world of the supernatural. It opened his eyes, and sent him on the path of the mage and scholar. Just so happens he did it in such a way that fit his lifestyle.

Personality: Laid back, casual, live for the moment kind of attitude and personality. Taking things as they come, planning ahead only if he actually has too.

Trivia:

Carries a pistol made of runic acceptable metals and materials, onto which runes can be printed that change the aspect of the shot. 

Carries special carbon pencil that is magically enhanced, to be used to write runes on hard surfaces, and with concentration can trace runes onto the air itself.

Also carries a pack of cigarettes with him at all times. His cancer-sticks are there for when he has to calm his nerves, or in a pinch, cast smoke spells and runes if his pencil is out of action. Though Smoke Magic is incredible sketchy and can be very unspecific.
