This is an idea I had today on the way home so read it cautiously as I don't really have much of a story yet, just the idea. Criticisms and ideas are welcome. Basically this takes place in the Marvel/DC/Whatever-Other-Comic-Book/Superhero-Movie-Company-You-Can-Name universe and nothing happened the way it was meant to. Mutants, heroes and villains are everywhere, but not in the place or way they should be. You can be any character you want, but you are not allowed to change their powers or the basic elements of their personality, everything else is fair game though. Here's an example/character sheet template:
Base Character: Peter Parker AKA Spider-Man Name: Pamela Osborne Alias: Spider-Girl Gender: Female Age: 16 Appearance (description/picture): Pamela is 5'6" tall and weighs about 120 pounds. She has long blonde hair, green eyes and a pale complexion. She normally wears jeans and T-shirts but is not opposed to wearing dresses or skirts on occasion. She doesn't have any tattoos or notable scars, but she feels that might change soon with how much people are shooting at her lately. Costume: Pamela's super-suit, being spider-themed, has an insignia of a spider on its chest and is painted red and blue. It was grey when she stole it, but she repainted it shortly after. It fit's her incredibly well and is made of a self-adjusting nano-material that looks and feels similar to latex and has armored plates attached to the body, arms and legs, with gaps on the elbows, shoulders, knees, hips, stomach/lower back and neck to allow for decent protection and maximum flexibility. The suit also comes with a helmet that provides Pamela with her "spidey-sense" by displaying warnings and suggested avoidance techniques and, in emergencies, can override the user, moving the suit in the most effective way to dodge incoming attacks. The gloves secrete an epoxy like substance that Pamela can use to climb walls, the arm-guards sport similar devices that use the same epoxy to create webs that can be used to swing or trap people. Hero/Villain: Villain Personality/motives: Pamela is a good kid. Smart, kind, polite, has a strong sense of justice. But she sees a flaw in the system, the way things are being run is all wrong. She's going to fix it. Powers: a multi-million dollar super-suit she stole from her father's company, Oscorp, that gives her the powers of web slinging, wall crawling and a form of precognition that she calls "spidey-sense" Bio: Pamela was born to her father, Norman Osborne, and was raised rich. She got kicked out of every private school in the state because even though she was a good student, one of the best, she had a bad habit of fighting with the staff. So her father stuck her in a public high school where she met her best friend, Harry Parker. One day Harry's uncle, Ben, was killed by a robber and the police weren't able to catch the thug, so she decided she would. She stole an experimental super-suit that was intended to give the user all the powers of a super-spider and killed the robber. She decided then that if she could do the police forces jobs better than they could then she would. things only escalated from there and her alter-ego, Spider-Girl, is now a wanted terrorist for multiple bombings of public buildings and the murder of the police chief, among other notable public figures.

Base Character: Name: Alias: Gender: Age: Appearance (description/picture): Costume: Hero/Villain: Personality/motives: Powers: Bio:
All I did was make Peter a girl, twist his sense of justice a little bit so he would become a villain/terrorist and change her family lineage and the source of her powers, she's still essentially the same as Peter, just under different circumstances. (Please note that Pamela is not the character I intend to use, she was just an example so Spidey is still available, though multiples of one character might get interesting so feel free to use a base character someone else already used and we'll see how it goes. I will put mine at the bottom of the opening OOC post if this thing gets going) None of the notable organisations that existed in these universes exist anymore (ie. the Xavier Institute, the Brotherhood, SHIELD) so it will be up to the players to band together and make up their own or recreate the old ones in the image of their new characters. --- This is for everyone doing amalgam characters: If your two combined characters have more powers than are sensible then tone it down a bit. Your character shouldn't be too strong. If you want to do an amalgam let's maybe try and limit powers (I won't be strict on this, it's just a guideline and if you keep it within certain boundaries it'll be fine) to one offensive ie: cyclops' laser vision or Wolverine's claws one defensive power ie: Wolverine's healing factor and one miscellaneous power like Wolverine's adamantium skeleton, even though it's not a power it's a modification we'll count it as a power Also, try to limit the number of characters you're combining to two, no more unless it has a reason that will serve some kind of sub-plot.
