I used to watch the guy's stuff, and thought he was actually pretty funny. I can only look back and cringe now, but I'm still kind of a fan.

His acting is terrible, and humour is overly cliched, relying way too much on toilet jokes and swearing. However, the observations in his reviews are spot on, and he doesn't take himself seriously at all. The countless imitators he spawned off are way worse, anyways. 

I'm not sure if he still does this though. Other than AVGN, I think he's directed some C-grade, "So beyond awful they're good" sort of stuff, and he really likes his craft, from what I can tell.
