Daxius flipped two coins at the attractive barmaid, "two apples please" his voice grated in his throat. The barmaid nodded and walked off to the back. He sat back down in the armchair and watched the rest of the inn carry on with itself, however he was perplexed and cheerfully bemused at the rabbit wielding gnome. But at the same time a bit pitiful, barging into the inn, proudly clutching a dead hare and only getting looks of malicious amusement. Daxius forgot about his apples for a few minutes and stepped off the chair and started towards the proud looking gnome. Dax stood behind him and noticed how much shorter someone could be, he poked the gnomes shoulder and rasped "quite a prize ya have, I'll offer ya 3 golds, sound good?" -------------------------------------------------- Bam turned away from the bar to see a scary looking man standing there, offering him gold for his kill. "That's, that's perfect," he blustered out, a little intimidated by the mans eye patch, he quickly pulled out his arrow from the animal and handed his prey to the man. Dax handing over 3 coins. he regained his loud and happy composure, being even more excited, and walks over to the guards arm wrestling, a small group gathered around. The group looked to the small gnome who walked upto the table "Is this a joke?" One of the men proclaimed as the rest laughed. The two guards looked to the gnome in confusion "If you beat us in a arm wrestle you get 5 gold if we beat you we get 2 gold. They are the rules Bam sat at the table to arm wrestle. (Rolls with Unarmed ) (Gets a 5!) (Guard rolls with unarmed {D6+1} (Gets a 4!) The arm wrestle begins. Muscles begin to bulge but miraculously the gnome wins! The crowd looks around in amazement.5 gold is placed next to the Gnome. "Well erm.. well done.." The guard said annoyed ----------------------------------- Eryel raised his eyebrow at the quest granted. Well, at least this would pay him, not that it followed his usual work schedule but it would have to do until dangerous ruins come along. “Remove that meal.” The elf stated, finishing his pie. “And throw in five gold pieces instead.” He did like coins. You could never have enough of those, and hopefully the bartender would comply. (Rolls with Barter ) (Gets a 7 – Success) “All right five gold pieces to the both of you but you better not cause a mess.” The bartender replies. “How exactly do you want this guy thrown out?” Eryel rubbed his chin. “Nice and quietly, you can use the back door and chuck him out if he doesn’t comply to leave when two armed gentleman knock on the door.” The bartender smirked. “If he hasn’t paid for his room, I reckon you own this establishment and the rules of your society would allow you to remove him from the premises, correct?” But then, humanity never truly impressed. “Then again, I won’t question your customs. I'll accept this assignment.” Eryel finished. One could never expect too much from these short lived hunks of meat. Their shortcomings would in this case benefit the elf, so by all means. The gnome who had made an entrance would easily steal everyone's attention, but after shedding him a glare, Eryel went back to the conversation. Gnomes, they were always so loud. Well, at least they were better than humans. -------------- In agreement with the elf, Shaleer added, "Strange lands indeed," whilst giving the gnome another look. Then, back toward the elf and then to the bartender, "But surely the man has a reason for not leaving his room. Is he in some kind of distress?." “He's not leaving because he wants a room for free.!” The bartender retorted. Shaleer paused for a moment only to sigh, "Nonetheless, I accept your task like my pointy-eared companion." ---------------------------------------------- The bartender began to walk the elf and human to the door "Between you and me... I don't want the guards snooping around here. That's why I cant ask them.. if you get my drift" He said as he got to the door. "Here it is behind this door... I will leave you to it..." The bartender quickly left.
