Downtown, The Theater across or adjacent, or otherwise very near to the Church Sarah popped another piece of popcorn into her mouth as she say behind the candy counter for the theater. It wasn't exactly food but with... whatever those things out there were wandering around in the streets, Sarah wasn't going to risk leaving. There were a few others here. Some of them had armed themselves with the stems of the portable barricades that the theater used to establish waiting lines for movies. Then part of the group had barricaded and shored up the doors. What bothered Sarah the most was the loss of cellular coverage. That was some hours ago. There simply was no new information on what was happening outside. Who carried a radio anymore when there were smartphones and internet? Most people had left the moment the things started wandering the streets, eager to race home and rescue their loved ones. Others had decided to jump in their cars and head for the hills, literally... up into the hills outside Parris city. Sarah's boyfriend for the evening had been one of those, having run off on her the first moment things went awry. Sarah, however, intended to do exactly like the emergency broadcast system said, to stay put and obey the quarantine until rescue services arrived.
