Devika narrowed her eyes at the man in the suit as he continued to ask her questions. The smile was still fixed on her face, but it was icy, and there was anger brewing in the pit of her belly. "What I know about him is none of your business. If you want to know about someone, the kindest thing to do is to ask them yourself." She turned her back on him, and strode up to Connor, keeping her voice low and subtle. "Watch yourself." She didn't pause while walking by, and from behind there would be no indication that she'd even spoken to him at all. Settling at her table, she pulled a book from her purse and pretended to read. In truth, she was calming herself, and keeping an eye on the suspicious cop. This was their place, the witches and wizards and weirdos, and she damn well wasn't going to let the vanilla mortals take it away from them without a fight.
