After reaching Iria, the night ended rather fast. Sebastian held contact with those who initiated it, but didn't seek any of the other campers out. After Iria was healed, he still didn't feel like leaving her side until they got to camp. It wasn't like he believed her to be in danger from her injuries, not with the impressive job he had seen from the son of Apollo, but it was more of a 'I started something I'm going to see it through,' kind of thing, 'it' being Iria's safety. He went to bed soon after, tired from expending his energy. The shadows in the Erebus' children's cabin were always plentiful with the small windows and dark curtains that adorned the cabin's walls, even in daylight, but at night the cabin was an abyss of deep recesses that would disturb many of the other campers, especially the young ones. But Seb felt comfortable in the dark. It was cold, but it offered a sense of security he rarely felt anywhere else. ________________ The next morning, Seb treated himself to a lazy breakfast. He was dressed in jeans this morning, in respect to the coming activities, and his black hair was pulled back into a ponytail. He had a few pieces of leather armor on, but it was only a cuirass - most of his protection came from not engaging in melee combat. When he was pressed, he could shield himself with darkness incarnate, but its capricious physicality made it only slightly useful. He greeted other campers throughout the morning cheerfully, as always, but stayed mostly out of sight until Capture the Flag rolled around. Chiron announced the teams and boundaries without flair, and they grouped together accordingly. Sebastian didn't contribute much, he was not talented when it came to address and directing groups larger than one, and nodded most in agreement with the others. "Alicia and Sebastian should go for the flag, cause Seb's shadows could affect Iria's Rainbows. Maybe your shadows can help you and Alicia stalk easier to their flag and they won't even see you coming," Micheal suggested, and Sebastian voiced his agreement without disrupting the other boy's speech. He nodded at Alicia. "Also, just to put this out there, I can mark the pole, so I'll always know where it is," The flag at the top of the pole, ever flickering in the slight breeze ubiquitous to an area so near open water, would create a shadow on the pole. Sebastian could animate this, and keep in tune with it. He just put it out there so the other's would know: he would sense the shadow's unnatural movement should the pole be moved. At the start, after doing his bit with their flag, Sebastian headed off with Alicia. It was good for him to be with someone who could hide so well without him. He was confident in the girl's skills. He had done such things with others, but they never seemed to grasp the concept of sound. It wasn't something he could control. The shadow did nothing to muffle it, and some people just couldn't keep quiet. Alicia had no such ignorance to the telling force that was noise, and he was relieved.
