Lucian's character is acceptable. He used the context of the world to create his character (aka his father dabbling in demonology led to Vampirism), plus I was toying with the idea of adding more supernatural elements to the RP. Although I had initially intended to save these new elements until Demonolgy was introduced to the characters in the RP, I think having them present, but rare, in the beginning is fine. I'm giving all of you free reigns on your characters, the only stipulations is that you keep them human or mostly human, and that you use the context of the world to create them, as Lucian did with demonology and vampirism. I'm giving all of you a few liberties as you create your characters. Don't feel like you're confined to the world as it is, but I do ask that you don't stray too far from it. You want your character to be part of a league of assassins? Cool, do it. Want your character to be a famous war general or pirate? Do it. Chances are the better you write and the more down-to-earth you keep it the more likely I'll allow it. As GM I'll be the one keeping all of your characters on level ground with one another; I don't intend for characters being able to steamroll one another, so don't worry about that. Just remember, anyone can die.
