6 The Cloaked female turned her back to him before motioning for him to follow her out of the room. The hallway she led him down was dark, very little light could be seen as they walked silently in the darkness. After a bit, she waved a hand in front of her and a portal appeared before them. "You may not like this, but we need to go through here in order for me to take you to the people you are meant to meet." Upon seeing the portal, Aravan looked away. He'd finally taken on enough courage to regain his obstinate attitude. "I don't want to meet anyone," he mumbled, practically in a whisper. Even though the woman terrified him to his very core, he somehow was able to regain his willpower. He was happy being alone. Nobody to ridicule or demean him, nobody to tear him down. He could just be himself without the input of anybody else. "You know, it's unwise to disobey the headmaster," came a feminine voice. At some point during the walking, they'd passed the young woman from before. "If you're stubborn, you can end up in a much worse place than you are right now." "Rachele, that is unneeded," the Headmaster stated, 'Please go back about the task that I have set for you. The others should be arriving soon. And you Aravan, I am sad to say you have no choice in the matter on whether or not you meet new people. It is what destiny calls for therefore it must be done, now please, step through the portal so I can avoid over-riding you freewill." The woman nodded and turned away, disappearing into the darkness, just as Aravan firmly planted his feet to the ground and clenched his fists. He had no experience with anyone telling him what to do, and it was infuriating. He was only used to being bullied and knew how to deal with that. A scowl crossed his lips as a sudden rush of blood reached under his skin. In an instant, his skin hair and eyes turned the color of the pitch itself, and he turned on his heels. He would be able to get away again, do something else. He was sure of it. He silently fled, taking any turn he could. The Headmaster let out a small sigh and before Aravan knew it, he found himself right back in front of her. Her arms were folded across her chest and though her face was not visible, he could feel the glare upon her face. "Aravan, no matter what you do you can not run away from your fate," she said, her tone now cold, "Step through the Portal please, and meet up with the people you are supposed to help, and those who are supposed to help you." Aravan suddenly felt a sharp pressure on his back that forced him forward, towards the portal. Aravan fell forward from trying to fight the force that was moving him against his will. "I don't need anyone... And nobody needs me..." He groaned, trying to cling to the cold floor. He felt helpless and powerless, though, his hands sliding away from it as he was moved. He turned around, struggling against the force, but found himself flung backward into the portal. He crashed onto a new sort of ground, and was shocked back to his normal pale skin and azure eyes. He groaned as he got back to his feet, his eyes taking a while to adjust to the new place where he found himself.
