"She isn't." Josef said from behind the girl with his old high school baseball bat in hand that he had carried along. When he saw that the new girl didn't attack Joan, he lowered his weapon and looked her over. The young woman was Asian and looked to be in her early twenties. "Are YOU alone?" Josef asked, as Joan got back up to her feet and stuffed the snow balls in her pocket. Josef hadn't been this up close and personal with a new, free survivor in forever, and he was curious to know if there were more. "My name's Joan. Thanks for not killing me." She said to the girl with a smirk. She mostly said it to introduce herself and to be friendly, but apart of her actually kinda wished the unknown girl would have dropped the axe and taken her out of this shitty world. Just then, loud static could be heard from the break room and Joan looked to Josef who looked like he knew exactly what it was. Joan ran to the other room while Josef kept his eye on the new chick. When she arrived inside the break room, she found a communications radio that was on a back folding table near a useless microwave. She wasn't sure how to use the radio, so she pressed every button visible and spoke clearly, "Anyone there?" The radio static was most likely a random interference, but it still hadn't dawned on her or either Josef why the radio had been left on. Regardless, someone out there could potentially hear what she was saying if they were looking for help or listening.
