History: Kassy's mother was a famed occultist said to speak with the spirits of the dead. She grew up traveling with her parents from place to place while her mother worked. Kassy's aunt despised her mother, believing her a fraud. This hatred carried over to her niece, and Kassy was treated very poorly during her childhood and adolescence. Her uncle ignored his niece's treatment, unwilling to stand up to his wife. Kassy's only solace was her cousin Leonce, who treated her like the sister he'd always wanted. They grew up sheltering each other, until Leonce escaped to college. Kassy suffered alone a while longer before escaping to school herself, promising to never look back.
